This is a post just to show that I was proud of members of our guild. It is not to one up anyone or say we are the best by any stretch. It is was a deal of taking five brand new level 80’s into Naxx 10 with five geared experienced and geared members of the guild on a raid. These five new 80’s had never been in Naxx at all and listened very well in vent while we explained the fights to them.

The experienced members were:
Warrior (MT)
Death Knight (OT) mine J
Hunter
Priest (healer)

The new ones were:
Druid (healer)
Priest (healer)
Paladin
Rouge
Death Knight

We cleared the Arachnid Quarter with only one wipe which I thought was very good considering most of these guys were wearing quest reward gear still. So we then stepped out on a limb and really just wanted to show them Patchwork not thinking we could get it done. But to my pleasant surprise we dropped him the first time through!!! We then tried to do Grobulas but did not fair so well and we wanted to end on a positive note. We then moved to do Noth and got him down the first time. The new members got some very good up grades not to mention some good raid training. All and all as the guild leader I was very proud of there effort.

My guild has been around for about 3 months. We were a fracture of former teammates who got together when we became dissatisfied with our current raiding guilds.

In any event, we started about a month about pretty seriously in Ulduar 25. About the same time, I started an Ulduar 10.

In the last 3 weeks, we accomplished the following;

25 Man:
Mimiron Down
General Down
Hard Mode Flame Leviathan (2 towers) down

10 Man:
Cleared to Yoog
Thorim Hard Mode
XT Hard Mode
Flame Leviathan Hard Mode
Iron Council Hard Mode
Hodir Hardmode

It is a ton of fun to be on the Alganon quest and feel like we are really having fun again. Next is Yogg, and Freya/Mimiron Hard modes.....

Solo tanked the gauntlet in ZA at 70.
Completed NAXX 25 Dedicated Few. We 2-shotted Hodir, Thorim and Freya in our first night in Keepers. Also 9-manned Iron Council with the dump group while waiting for a DPS to show up.

2 days of attempts and we finally killed Thorim guild first kill on 25man... and i got my chest piece ..yey.. 4 parts t8.5 conquerers and shoulders will have to wait...

Killing Yogg for the first time was pretty epic considering our guild started with 10 people one of each class only a few months ago and has expanded from there.

I'd have to say the best think to happen was killing Illidan for the first time, i was at a netcafe because about 2 hours before the raid my net died. i had no mic, and i had a group of people sitting behind me watching me raid making me nervous, we'd had 2 nights of attempts earlier on, and we kill him on the first attempt of the night. im only rogue as other rogue showed up late, and a warglaive drops, server first. dont think i've had as many whispers at once ever haha

Showed my guild that a warrior can stationary tank 10 man Vezax a couple weeks back... and then got to do the same this week in 25 man when neither of our DKs were available. (And *nearly* got a conqueror kill, one shotting him with the only two deaths due to a missed kick on searing flames.)

And then on our much-overdue guild first 25 yogg kill last night, I was the last tank standing after the RL called for all dps to burn Yogg the last couple percent... when the other two tanks went down, mass taunt + every cooldown I could think of + amazing healing... Hodir saved me once, clicked off the iceblock, grabbed the 6-7 adds again for a few more seconds, and went down just as Yogg bit the dust. Healers were freaking out as I guess my health kept dipping <1k, and recount showed that if it weren't for an amazingly lucky string of dodges/parries, I would have died waaay sooner.

I love proving that warrior tanks can still hold their own.

Didt't even bother to tell my guildmates that only DK can stationary tank Vezax 10. Just made a nice CD schedule and with the help of an all able hunter (who managed to kill me once on badly timed MD) and a Disciple priest and Holy paladin managed to kill him with my only CD.

They even managed to kill a Saronite Vapor under me right at the end and our vent was me swearing them all and suddenly "Yesssss!". Paladins can MT too you know ...

Getting into a semi puged Naxx 25 group (most from one guild) as a unholy DK dps after first beeing told DKs suck and then out dpsing them all by far in only 2 T7 pieces. Although it might say more about their bad dpsers than me :-D Not proud exactly but it did feel good after hearing a lot of bs about DKs all the time.

This has pretty much been my first week of serious tanking for this xpac. This week I've been OT in 10man Ulduar and have recieved the bracers from FL, belt from Razor. Tonight I was MT for Auriaya because our druid was out and not only did she DIE! She dropped the shield for me!

We went on to try Hodir but without frost resist gear it wasnt pretty, got him to 75%. I bet we get him tomarrow night and then onto Thorim!
