Was running a 10 man Naxx yesterday and ran into some problems on Heigan the Unclean. We had a mix of vet and new players on the run and had some decursing issues. So after the second dance, we had only myself and a shammy healer left alive.

Everybody has heard the phrase "theoretically you only need a tank and a healer on this boss", but we put that into practice! The total fight time was 25 minutes, but the two of us brought him down from half health to dead!

Legitimately playing through and tanking Wailing Caverns, including Mutanus.

I know this might not sound like a huge achievement, but I have never actually played through the instance and the appropriate level, versus being ran through it.

In case you ever decide to do this, know that Verdan the Everliving hits like a truck.

Downed General Vezax night before last in 10man. Warrior tank kept him stationary and alternated cd's with our pally on Surge of Darkness. Tank and I alternated interrupts for Searing Flames. It was beautiful.

Must Deconstruct Faster

The other night we went into ulduar and got a couple chivs one being Shattered on Ignus. A very easy chiv we decided to complete it mid fight. No problems one shot and the chiv.

But even better, on the Deconstructor, 75% heart exposure. Our shammy popped heroism and be brought the heart down to 4%. Boss comes back up at 42% health and imidiately does another exposure. We dps the heart to about 40% boss comes back up with about 20% health. Imidiately... another exposure. Boss goes down in 150 seconds.

Definently our fastest time.

10 Man OS+1

Finally, finally beat this fight a couple nights ago, with 8 from in guild, 1 friend of the guild, and 1 pugged add tank. Discovered the following truth: a good paladin tank, assisted by a DK tank, makes dealing with the drake+adds so, so much easier. We had failed over and over trying to use a DK+Warrior for add tanking.

Late to the party on this one, but better late than never!

I can intervene away from vezaks when he goes "RAWR I R GOIN TO SMASH YOUR FACE. K." And not get out of range of my healers or have mana regen pools stop.

Think of block rating as being the chance you can hold a Phonebook between you and a guy who has a High Powered rifle pointed at you. Interposing the Yellow pages can't hurt but it sure doesn't help a lot.

Tanking all 4 adds on KT in Naxx25 until they were so large that their heads were through the roof was pretty fun.

Also, winning a Betrayer of Humanity to tank with in a PUG by rolling 100 on it made me feel pretty good.

Solo tanking 10 man Patchwerk because of high avoidance after the second tank and all the melee got insta gibbed due to an AFK healer who got up and left after hitting yes for a ready check was fun as well.

For me, tanking Karazhan at 77 with healers and DPS at level 80 with T7.5... That was... Fun threatwise..
Being told I was undergeared to tank heroics then getting a group of people I trusted, and we took UP heroic first try, 0 wipes.. And I ended up with the Reins of the Blue Proto Drake, despite not having epic flying.

Tanked Mana Tombs on my MAGE at level 70.. God bless that paladin healer. I had a LOT of stamina...

Best highlight as tank though?
Pugging with one of the best raiding guilds on my server in Naxx 10, starting as OT.. Shifting to MT.. Taking down 3 wings in almost no time with 1 wipe due to DCs. Then despite them being in Ulduar 10 gear (on their alts), trying to recruit me!

Alas I turned it down, telling them to hold it open until I am at least Naxx 25 geared...

Oh, also.. Whilst levelling Paladin up, switched to prot at 40. Had some gear waiting for me. Thought it would be an idea to attempt SM solo.. Library and Graveyard were cakewalks.. Armory and Cathederal were not.... 5 Hours well spent..

Tanking General on 10 man without kiting on my warrior. I didn't glyph for LS or SW and didn't respec. Had a great healing team. Probably not a huge deal to you..but constantly hearing it's a dk fight or kite..Im proud of us.

Needless to say, it felt pretty epic to do this as a warrior, even though I know other warriors have done this.

I was sporting 115 FR and Phase 2 was cake.

I also solo'd Garr, got there by lava hopping, had to kill a few trash mobs, but he's fairly easy as well. Kill his adds one by one, his attack speed buff won't affect you (actually it's just going to make sure you have 100% revenge uptime)

Next up for my little gnome is H MgT and Attumen in Kara

Nothing special, I'm just happy that I'm getting the grip of AoE Threat. Before lvl 80.

I can't wait for the fun that will come! =)

I tanked my first heroic this weekend, Utgarde Pinnacle, after the group couldn't find anybody else to tank and I switched to protection from ret (I was hoping to start out on one that was a little "easier"). Only 1 wipe (Skaldi snared the healer and whirlwinded him, trainwreck ensued shortly after, but I stayed alive for a good 20 seconds on my own). Not so bad, but I think the healer got a workout (he kept on shouting about not having "mana". Pfft. It's why the Gods gave us Pallies Divine Plea no?)

Thanks to the tankspot community for the gearing and instance guides, they're very helpful for us newbie tanks.
