Does anybody know if Heroic Strike (Rank 11) is real or not? Heroic Strike - Spells - World of Warcraft
If it is, where do I find it?
I can't find much information about it, but it is on wowhead.

It doesn't exist in-game. I believe it was in the game at some point, however. (Most likely during TBC beta.)

Bloodthirst scales better than Mortal Strike. The equalization point is somewhere around 3000 AP, so if you're above 3000, Bloodthirst will deal more damage. Plus, you get Improved Berserker Stance.
I'd go with Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft personally. | Okay, even if you wanted to go with a fury 2h build, how are you going to have enough rage to keep up a swing/slam rotation AND keep Rampage up?
You'll have BT on cd every 6 seconds, WW every 9 seconds, weaving those between your swing/slams, and keeping up a 20 rage buff every 30 seconds that has to have a hit to stack? I think you'll end up either a) wasting a lot of rage or b) wasting a lot of cooldowns. If you have a really fast pc and a really awesome connection, then you might be able to pull it off.
That's ignoring that you want to wait until at least 20 seconds have past until you renew rampage so you don't waste a lot of rage on it, personally I try to renew it in the ~5 second range. With a ~3.6 second swing timer you're going to lose it more often and have to rebuild it (again, even with your specials, you're still talking about a 3.6 second timer) so its going to rebuild even slower. Why not do something like this where you'll have deathwish every 3 minutes and an aoe snare for pvp.
But all this is still dependent on being over 3k ap. If you're not, then go with a MS spec.

I'm looking for the website that has all the dps gear drops on it. You select where your raiding/gearing up, and it gives a breakdown of the possible gear. Breaks out the gear for each slot so you can concentrate on the effects of new gear to specific slots?
Anyone know what I'm talkign about? Thanks.
Nevermind. Found it. maxdps.com

| | | 3/3 Imp Sunder Armor or 3/3 Imp Def Stance?
Heading to the Opera Event in Kara. Immune to crit. 14-15k armor and hp. My brain is about to explode! Where should those last three points go? I can reliably get 500tps when I am sleeping, and between 750 and 1100tps when I am cranking hard. Thanks in advance! |

If you took 10% of your damage from spells (which is way more than a Kara boss does) 6% off of that damage would be .6% less damage taken.

I'm sure this is somewhere on the site but I just can't seem to find it.
What is the formula for calculating avoidance?

I recently downloaded targetcharms but can't seem to get it to work. It shows up on screen but I just don't know how to use it. You're supposed to be able to target something and then click on the symbol you want, right?

Yes, just target a mob then click on the symbol you want. You have to be in a party or raid for it to work though.

I wanted to make sure it worked before I went into an instace but that explains the problem right there.

Something I don't understand: If Devestate pretty much replaces Sunder in most applications, what's the point of taking Imp. Sunder as a talent? Is it for 5-Mans and low-rage sitiuations, where you get your 9 rage Sunders on before using Devestate or what?
In a raid it seems like the talent is negligible after that point. Please enlighten me.
EDIT: There was an answer to this already, in one of the stickied FAQ's, no less. I fail at searching apparently. In the end though, I'll keep it for levelling and 5-Mans at least, till I raid and decide I need Imp. Defensive Stance.

Quick question that I think I might already know the answer to. Figured I'd ask anyway because my AI has expired.
If I have a 25% chance to block and 30% avoidance, and I activate Dabiri's Enigma which pushes it to 42% or whatever, does that affect my chance of recieving a crushing blow? Or do I have to have over 85% avoidance + block before CBs start getting pushed off?
Thanks in advance for your time. |

@tryxx - imp sunder armour is pretty much essential - 9 rage devestates are truly awesome for tanking, ot'ing and dps'ing as prot. If you need/want imp def stance I'd strongly recommend finding the points from somewhere else

The improved sunder rage reduction also applies to the rage cost of Devastate. Sunder and Devastate costs exactly the same rage. The only practical use for sunder by itself now is in a focus sunder macro that can apply sunders to CC'd mobs without breaking CC (since sunder doesnt do any damage) so that when they do break they agro on you.

Ok, can I ask a noobie question. I've only been playing about a month and am trying to learn as much as I can. What does TP mean? As in...1. [The Unbreakable Will] 100.3dps 1.6 Sword 33STA TP:4686.
Thanks in advance,
Hit

TP = tankpoints - a rating system for tank gear. I don't fully understand the ins and outs but basically it ranks each piece of gear dependent on the tank (stam, armour, def, dodge) it gives you. It gives an easy way of comparing between two pieces of gear. But does not take into account expertise (well pretty sure it doesnt) and doesn't take into account the rest of the gear you have (think so) - you probably gathered I don't use it myself.
Put tankpoints into google - and you'll find the curse link to the addon.

Ok, thanks for the reply shorty, that helped a ton. Things are starting to come together, I think. The more I read here the more things make sense. I have figure out some of the acronyms now and then but other than that this is a wonderful site.

heya, total noob here lol
well ive just hit 70 on my first and main char ,
i was quite interested in developing an arms + prot warrior with arms as the main tree...
as i noticed, arms and prot tree available here is for PvP
i was thinking of developing my talent tree where its usable in raiding and also pvp.
and i've developed something like this: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
any comments would be deeply appreciated |

@Talani whoever is the Parry-er is, gets the speed increase. So if Mob swings at you, and You parry. You avoid the attack (0 damage) and your next swing is 40% faster. If you swing at Mob, and he parries YOU, he takes 0 damage, and his next swing is 40% faster.
@amdteng if you're looking to be an Off Tank for your guild, lots of the times, you either need to be full prot, or be full dps with good prot gear. I've OT'd lots of times just being spec'd full Fury, and put on my tanking gear instead. You really shouldn't need to make hybrid specs, they don't truly work for warriors. the days of the 31/5/15 were left in the dust in Pre-BC
