3.2.3 (Widescreen) Release is Live!

PLEASE NOTE* that the earlier responses in this thread are dated and contain information that is not relevant to the current release. Check for posts in this thread where I announce new versions and then reference the posts that follow for up to date information.

3.2.3 Version Changes:
-This UI will now be released and updated for 1920x1080 resolution only. Many apologies to my smaller resolution users. I will keep the version 3.2.2 (1280x1024) archived on my download page. You can continue to use that version by simply updating the addons as updates become available.
-Removed Archeron (found that I did not use it enough to keep it)
-Removed Archud2 (wanted to go to unit frames instead of the 3D target box)
-Removed X-perl (not enough customization)
-Removed Quartz (the need for this addon was replaced by Pitbull4)
-Added Icehud
-Added Pitbull4
-Added Recount
-This UI now has Focus and Target of your Focus.
-The information on my download page has been updated and includes new instructions for the latest version.

Special Thanks Goes Out To:
Wowinterface.com for hosting my UI.

Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.

The addon authors that created the mods used in this UI.

The users who have made this UI popular. I never imagined I would get this many downloads. I appreciate all the kind words I have received here. It's your positive comments that keep me maintaining my UI for public download.

Thank you all and Enjoy!

Very impressive.
eePanels2 is hard to find now, since kgPanels took over.
How many panels is that? I see you already have the individual ones for the action bars and windows but the way you did the borders is interesting.

I bet you used Align for "aligning" the mods right?

Well I actually use the original eepanels. I tried eepanels2 and got a ton of bug sack errors so I dumped it. I tried KGpanels but found the config to be a nightmare.

So with the original eepanels. Each vertical and horizontal divider is its own panel. I had to create each one individually. Then I use one large panel that acts as a backdrop behind everything. I had to raise the dividers level so it would overlay the backdrop. It adds up to be about 15-16 panels.

Setting up the dividers I used the addon graph paper to lay it out.

I would like to find more textures to play with, but Im pretty happy with how it is now.

I've got to say, I'm actually enjoying this one. Boosted my FPS from about 40 to around 55 in Dalaran, looks a lot better than my random throw this here, toss that there UI... And you said you were running off of 1080x1024? It took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to move everything around to fit a 1280x800. Gotta love the limited resolutions that my laptop has...

Looks very sleek, and runs smooth.

I have a quick question about this addon. Are you still able to use your number keys like 1,2,3,4,5? Since those are my main abilities.

@Keldronn -- /kb will bring up Bartender4's Keybinding interface, where you simply hover over which button you are binding, then press which key combination you want to bind to it.

@Fearnot -- WinRAR This is what I use to manage my zip\unzipping. Very easy to use.

I used to have a setup like that. Had a nifty cool bottom art with the buttons, bars, and images neatly pressed into it. Very creative design, but not my cup of tea. Your UI did inspire me to implement the Elk debuff window for sunder, TC, etc though. Thank you

Elk Buff Bars. I created another group and set the Focus to Target. Then I moused over White List, then moused over Debuffs, and selected the ones I wanted. Sunder Armor, Demo Shout, Rend, TC.

Hmmm...only I didn't like the Elk buff bars, and took that out, i prefer the normal blizz buffs. Is there a way to disable all Elkano buff bars Buffs and only use the debuffs?

Edit: I managed to get the debuff window working, now: is there a way to include Deep Wounds in there? also...I now have no buffs at all :O

There is an option in the Elk Buff bars config that allows you to hide or show the default Blizzard Buffs. Simply un-check that and you will see the normal Blizz buffs. Then you would just have to remove the other "buff" bar groups from Elk Buff Bars and you will only have one set of buffs on your screen.

To add Deep Wounds just make sure you go attack something so it registers and then unlock the anchor for the debuff bar group. Hover over the anchor and select Filter. Then select White List. Then select Debuffs. You should see Deep wounds in there.

Though to be honest Im not sure why you would want Deep Wounds, cause it will be up practically all the time. Its more of a proc, not a debuff that you have to be reminded to re-apply in a short amount of time before it runs out.

It might be more appropriate to put Deep Wounds in the other bar group to the right of my Center Target Box. I have that one set for trinket procs, sword and board and mongoose.

Anyway, if you still having issues with Elk Buff Bars check out the video tutorial that Caulle put together here on tankspot.

Hope that helps,
-Boda

Ok, thanks a lot, I've fixed the deep wounds...and i just wanted it there to fit it all in...currently to the right of my target I have my mounts. The 5 debuffs (Demo, TC, Rend, Sa, DW, fit in perfectly in my bar - before there was a space underneath xD).

I also fixed the buff stuff. Thanks a lot . I tried it out in a raid yesterday (the UI) and it works fine, XraidStatus is an insteresting addition, the Raid Frames don't occupy much space.

I wil try and move the 2 mounts i mostly use (White polar bear and Red proto-drake) to the bar underneath my debuff's bar. And i'll try to put the mongoose procs/Shield Wall/last stand etc.

Out of all thx wonderful UI even though i didn't like a few things easily changeable and lot's of assistance on your part, GJ

Toss me some help here Boda!

Heya, I've recently downloaded your ui and i L-O-V-E it..

But as fast as I started it, I noticed that everything was soooooooo small..

I trixed with that "ui scale" thing, but all you'r stuffs we're moving then, like the map we're getting out of position.

And another thing, I'm a druid (mwhah) but still a fan, isn't their anyway you can make it so, if I turn into a cat-form, the cat-form skills pop, It works on Bartender4 I think.

But, if you could be so kind and help me out here, two things : skills for druids and the scale.
I'm sure alot of Druids out there is asking the same questions.

Thanks in advance.

I would experiment with the UI Scale settings. Just about every addon has a scale option, so if you UI scale and then your minimap is too small then alter the minimap scale. It just take patience.

To have abilities "pop" over the previous buttons, you have to configure the visibility conditions.

Example:

Bar 1 and Bar 2 overlap each other perfectly.
Bar 1 has my tank abilities. Bar 2 has my DPS abilities. I would tell Bartender to hide Bar 2 when I was in Defensive Stance. For Bar 1, I would tell it to hide when I was in Battle and Berserker Stance.

I'm sure Bartender has similar functionaility for Druids.

Quote from my Download Page:

"Other Classes and Resolutions FAQ:
The resolution for this UI is 1080x1024. But you can easily use this UI for other resolutions. All you have to do is play with the UI scale via the in-game video options till it looks right. You may have to do some other slight adjustments. Such as the position of the Raid Frames or MT targets from X-pearl and the Buff groups from Elk Buff Bars. This is all easily done by unlocking the anchors or left click dragging.

Additionally this UI can work with many other classes and specs. However I would only advise this if you know how to use the config's for the addons in this UI."

In the Bartender 4 config menu there is an option through the bars to set things up for stance changes or in your case shape shifting. I however have not played with that option, as I have no need to use it. So I can't really tell you what you need to do.

As for the UI scaling, the quote I took from my download page explains it pretty well. To unlock Chinchilla (map mod) right click the mini-map, it will open the config for that mod. The rest of the options to unlock addons should be found through the mini-map buttons, located along the right side of your screen, near the top. With different resolutions you will have to spend some time and play with the size and location of things to make them fit. Because I designed this UI for my resolution, I cannot specifically tell anyone how to go about setting it up to make it fit exactly to their resolution. You quite simply have to take the time to adjust things.

I hope some day to have the money for a larger monitor. When I do I will release a different version of this UI.

Im sorry I cant be of more help and I hope the little information I was able to provide does help, Thank you for your interest and positive comments about my UI.
-Boda
