I recently started messing with pvp from disc spec...I have my hit gear from shadow spec, and I'm trying to figure out what I need to have for hit....I'm at 307 right now on hit rating, and cap for shadow spec (with all the trimmings as far as talents goes) was 289....what's the cap for disc?

Its the same for casters all the way around, unless you're somehow squeezing in +hit talents in the shadow tree.

105 hit rating for standard pvp targets = 4%. You should be safe here but some classes do have racial abilities that reduce their chance to be hit.

omg....only 105? that's awesome! no wonder there's no +hit on pvp gear...


the difference is that everyone is 80, I'm guessing?

It's 4% for same level targets, both in PvE and PvP. Some people however like to get 5-6% because of talents that some classes have that increase their chance for spells to miss them.

The best way to achieve Hit-cap imo is the Hit-Necklace, the Relentless Ring (needs 1500 rating though) and a Spellpower+Hit Gem. This puts you at 50+50+10= 110 Hitrating.

Nothing is more painful that missing Fears in arena X_X

lol....i wondered why I wasn't missing stuff...I was afraid i was under the hit cap because I was in disc spec, so I didn't have all the +hit talents from shadow, but I totally forgot about the at lvl rating importance....
