I've heard good things about the Flatron W2353V, but i have no comparison standards for game monitors.

I'd get the Samsung-2333SW-23-Widescreen
My boss bought one for the office and it's absolutely great. The colour and image quality is perfect which is something we're after considering we do web development.

| | Looking at the stats for that monitor you linked (Google translate FTW), it seems like a very decent monitor.
Edit: this is a translation of the page he linked, for anyone who is curious.

The basics of buying an LCD monitor:
There are only a handfull of actual panel makers, Samsung, LG are some you would know, the montior brands you would know (for example, Sony, Dell, HP, etc.) all use somebody else's panel and then build it into a monitor with their brand name. As long as the panel itself is good, the rest isn't nearly as important, but the price may vary.
Note, the monitor manufacturers don't have any set patterns. For example, Sony could buy LG panels for one model, and then Samsung for another.
So...
Whatever you decide to buy, focus on the actual panel, and then find the monitors that are made with it, they will all have the same picture quality.
I personally stick to Samsung panels.

I bought the AW2210 a few months ago, and I love it. So many times better than other monitors I've bought/used over the years.

My choice is NEC Multisync LCD 2190UXi, but it seems the price is too high — PriceRunner Sverige |

350€ will get you a very nice display indeed.
Whatever you buy make sure you saw that thing in the flesh. Stats mean nothing. If you go to a shop that has them on display, wathc them closely. Most of them there will run some kind of demo so you can get a good idea if they are good or not.
A word of caution on the subject of wide screens:
Many of the cheaper ones have very uneven illumination. You can actually see where the internal lamps are mounted.
Apart from that even screens for 150-200€ will make you very happy indeed. Definitely go for widescreen.

Hmm, sorry, but i dont quite understand how you mean. What exactly do you mean with a panel?? | What he means by "panel" is the actual display screen itself, the LCD monitor component. Only a few companies actually make the LCD screen; other companies who "make" LCD monitors buy the screens from those companies, and just put it in their own casing with some additional hardware around it and slap their brand name on it.

I moved from very high quality HP monitors to LG, and the LGs have been a treat. Very consistent, high quality.
If Alienware runs their monitor offerings the same way they run their computer offerings, the $299 price tag most likely means it's on par with an excellent $199 monitor. Keep that in mind.

I just don't trust Alienware to provide a product that is worth the money you'd spend on it. I trust they create very high quality products, though.
LG is a class act in their pricing. I'm running two 30" LG Flatrons for only a little bit more than Apple's 30" monitor -- and the LG is just as good. Not being a household name, LG isn't going to overcharge you, but they seem to be making excellent products.

Alright thanks, now i understand. I will keep that in mind when buying a new monitor.
Also, i have a question. The contrast on a screen, etc. 50000:1, 80000:1, What is the best? Do you want the # number to be as high as possible? Or do you want it to be as los as possible?
P.S. I think i will buy eaither the LG Flatron, or the samsung syncmaster, i'll let yall know when i've bought it!
And i'm still open for suggestions, bombard me! |

The higher the Contrast Ratio obviously the better it's going to be. I'd personally go with a Samsung. It's what I have, and I love it. Although I plan on upgrading when I get some extra money to a larger one, as this one is a few years old. Also I highly suggest getting a Widescreen for playing WoW, you'll love it.
