socket 1156 vs socket 1366

I'm currently debating a new computer.

I'm trying to decide between a socket 1156 i7 860 and a socket 1366 i7 920.

The i7 860 is a bit cheaper, but I dislike how you can't put 2 video cards in it and sli/xfire it at 2x16. While i'm not planning on doing this in the near future, I'd like the option to be available. I'm just not sure if the extra money is worth it. (with the parts i'm looking at its about $150 more for the i7 920).

Any thoughts?

1366 socket will be better for high overclocking (1156 as the PCI chipset included in the CPU, which make frequencies twinking harder)

If you have no plan in overcloking and mostly play WoW, I would get a 1156 chipset. As the turbo mode will clock the CPU higher.

I'm an AMD person so I haven't really read up on Intel chips. But as far as dual video cards go... here is my opinion:

Video card are updated so fast that I don't think it is worth the money to use two.

I could spend $150 on a single high-end video card then 8-12 months down the line buy a much better card for another $150.

Or I could spend $300 now and then 8-12 months down the line find out that they released a single video card that costs $150 and achieves the same results as my two video cards put together.

Just my two cents on the subject.
