3-5fps in 10/25 man raids.....god I need some input

Okay,

so playing solo , 5 mans , sitting in Dalaran I can easily get 50+ fps
but as soon as I step into a raid group and the first trash pull hits,
I drop to rock bottom until the enemy is dead, then back up to around 30ish,
next trash pull (or boss fight), and I drop down to nothing. Here's what I've
done so far to try and fix this issue, and yet I'm still coming up ripping what hair I have left out.

Video = absolute min settings, nothing checked.
Sound = low channels , low hardware
Resolution = 1024 x 768 x 32bit (20.1" widescreen monitor w/max of 1440 x 1050)
Addons (I list the ones i hope are relevant) =
== perfectraid , pitbull4 , omen , dominos , fubar , recount , chatter , cowtip

Hardware:
CPU = AMD Athlon LE-1640 @ 2.6ghz (stock settings)
Memory = 4gb DDR2 800
Video = ATI Raedon 4670 512mb

Any input, and I mean anything that might help me fix this issue
is going to be a blessing. I can't raid / pug / nothing if it stays like this

Try disabling CowTip and Recount. Those two are fairly resource intensive and Recount especially has caused some problems for me and a few of my friends. Otherwise, I would try to see if maybe using a more lightweight raid frame addon like Grid might help things. I raid on a far worse laptop than your setup and I can usually get around 20 fps in 25-mans.

To be honest, if you have a horrible system and you want better FPS, you really should drop as many addons as you can. It might not look as pretty, but if you can do without...

I personally found Recount to be the biggest offender in destroying my FPS. I would start there, at the very least.

i would check how game works without addons first, then adding them one at time to check how it's going. Also multisampling is murderer of fps, 1x should be more than enough.

well sure enough, cowtip was a big hog, as was recount.
though disabling the sync was all I needed to do for recount.
cowtip I went ahead and removed.

the other thing I found from digging around
was to clear the combat log and keep it from recording info.

after all that I went ahead and restarted my system
and now I can raid with 20-30fps no issues at all

in fact got my achievement for 25 man Ony later that evening!
