Is the Gormok fight in northrend beasts the new Thorim? This fight seems to breed disconnects, and it happens throughout the first phase. Unlike the Thorim fight where you could mind control one until everyone is back online, a disconnect on Gormok hard mode generally means a wipe.

Is there a simple fix, whether an addon or video setting that can help with this? Advice appreciated.

And yes, it's specific to this fight, not happening elsewhere.

happened to me and a bunch of my guildmates during heroic tries, it is annoying. Same thing happens with onyxia 25 whelps too, when we gather 2 whelp gruops and start AOE, I get disconnected, good thing healers keep me alive during this phase as I hope I dont lose aggro while disconnected. Some people dont get this, some do, I'm behind a 1MB ADSL line with an AMD 5600 4GB running on vista with 8650 512MB graphics card. I can understand why I get disconnect during whelp phase, with so many whelps getting damaged my screen is literally filled with rune strikes, but I do not understand why this happens with Gormok.
