I would like to switch over to Eng from Mining and Blacksmithing, but as a Paladin building all of the titansteel equipment is well worth staying. I have all 6 of the titansteel helms/boots for off spec and am now working on weapons. Its nice starting heroics with some epics.

In patch 2.4.3 I dropped LW beacause of the drums nerf, and learned the new profession inscription. In terms of gold it was well worth going for it. But now that time is over, everyone has their glyphs, gg. I can't really profit from this profession as a tank.

So I'm looking for JC now because it is really OP these days.

But

When the 30 Stamina Epic Gems come out, the stamina profit from JC is really low. If you are gemming the 41 Stamina gems instead of the 30 stamina you get only +33 stamina.

So BS would be the best Stamina profit because you get 2 x extra socket with 2x 30 stamina = +60Sta!

What would you do? Going for BS or going for JC?

I just wanted to point out the evaluation of the BS profession incorrectly lists the rare stam gems as +21 stam when they are +24. This leads the math to suggest that BS provides +42 stam when it is actually +48 making it equivalent to enchanting from a stamina perspective with rare gems. Given that epic gems will eventually allow it to eclipse the stamina potential of enchanting, coupled with the fact that the gem slots could be used for something other than stamina means that BS clearly wins over enchanting.

Ok, So i'm a Death knight tank and this is me. The World of Warcraft Armory

Currently i'm an herbalist, Inscriptionist. I just got to 450, and I chose the Professions before I was contemplating tanking with my death knight. I was leading my own guild and we needed a Scribe, so I was the guy. Now i'm in a much bigger guide with multiple scribes. and i'm currently an Offtank for 25's and a main for many 10-man runs.

How much of a hassle would it be to completly drop both professions, level either Jewelcrafting or Blacksmithing with mining, , get exatled with hodir to replace my shoulder inscriptions, and then gear/socket all my gear?

I'm also contemplating keeping inscription for the next patch, and being as inscriptionist will learn to summon lexicons of power much like a warlocks summoning stone, in which group members could change specs right there.

anyone?

i like my Mining/BS combo!..

That helm that can be crafted in BS is pretty good!.. especially with a good meta gem and a rep enchant..

Combined with my Toughness that must be a winning combination.

They could fix part of this problem by putting in enchants that do +STR instead of +AP for instance, only reason BS wins is 2 sockets = 32 STR vs 2 rings = 64 AP.

same with JC 27-16 = 11 *3 = 33 STR.

if the others were stats, not derivatives, it's be more even... including making mining STA not HP.
