Old tank, noob dps, spec/gear/etc review?

Finally got together a semi-respectable dps set, that I've been able to do 2.5k - 3.9k dps with, depending on the encounter. A friend invited me to be on dps standby for his guild's ToC 25 raid tonight, my first time in that fight.

Is there anything I can do to improve my build, glyphs, stats? I'm a little low on hit and expertise for DW Frost, and have several stacks of Rhinolicious Wormsteak and Elixir of Expertise to compensate somewhat.

I'm thinking I could also move 2pts from Subversion into Merciless Combat since most of his guild will outgear me, I doubt threat will be an issue. Would that increase my overall dps enough to respec?

Rotation is:
start: IT - PS - BSx2 - OB - FS dump
subsequent: Pest - BS - OBx2 - FS dump - HB on Rime

2x Tankards of Terror are my highest ilvl weapons, the next best I have are Marrowstrike and Edge of Ruin. I went DW Frost only for that reason, but if Blood could provide better dps with one of the lower ilvl 2H'ers, I'm open to respec'ing.

Any advice appreciated.

You will want to change your rotation a little bit if you stay frost.

use OB then use your BS's. You'll swap the blood runes into death runes which allows 3x obliterates next round, then you go back to the normal rotation to refresh IT/PS

Thx, I assumed the priority was to get the Blood Runes converted to Death Runes as quickly as possible, hence use BS and/or Pest first, then Oblit. Is that not the case?

Death Knight DPS Guide for 3.2 - Ensidia

this is one of the better write ups of the different spec's.

DK is my alt, so I'm not sure I can fully answer the questions as well as should be done here on the boards.

I do know that the frost rotation is very hard to deal with on a lot of fights that have you moving around a lot, and possibly put thingds out of combat range for a couple seconds. If your going to be doing some fights that have a lot of movement, you may want to look at one of the other spec's listed. frost loses a _lot_ of its damage when you skew off the listed rotation here.

This is not enough information to be able to give you any advice whatsoever.

There's no character to look at, no parsing to take a glance at nor the situation in which you're doing your dps (AoE fight like Anub? Faction Champions? Twin Val'kyrs?)

If you need someone to look at your gear choices, post in the Halp section. If you need someone to look at a rotation situation, make sure you post the current rotation as well as some sort of parsing so we can look at it here in the DPS forums. If it's an enchant thing, we have a forum for that one.

Just need more information first.
