How much % to crit until it become redundant

Hope someone can help, I am currently at 37% Crit unbuffed in berserk stance with 4 piece tier 9. Fully buffed, i am around 45% Crit and 50% Crit for heroic strike.

Am i overstacking on crit? i have a few agi gear for this.

Thanks for any help

It depends on your hit rating, but no, you are fine. Crit loses some effectiveness when you reach the white crit cap, which for Fury is calculated 75 - (27 - hit_chance), since there is a 27% chance to miss on dual-wield white damage, and 25% glancing blows. So if you are at the hit soft cap of 8%, the white crit cap would be 75 - (27-8) = 56%. (someone correct me if the glance/miss numbers are wrong, I'm going by memory here)

What that means is that any crit level above that will not be applied to your white damage, although it will still apply to your special attacks (which cap at 100%). So going above it is not bad, it just is less effective.

I'm actually interested in this topic as well... can anyone verify this 56% number and the math behind it?

I'm currently at 48.02% crit with only Rampage up, so I'm assuming fully raid buffed, along with the 3% crit buff from ret pallys, enh shamans or muti rogues, I'd be over 56% crit.

The 56% I quoted depends on your hit rating, and I was incorrect earlier. You have a 24% chance of glancing blows on white damage, and a 27% chance to miss on a boss. From your armory you have 5.12% hit on gear, and 3% hit from talents, so 8.12% hit. So your white crit is capped at 100-24-(27-8.12) = 57.12%. Remember, this only applies to white damage, crit cap for specials is 100%, so you still benefit from being above the white crit cap, just less so than if you were below.

You are at 43.22% crit in berserker unbuffed, so you would likely be around 51-52% crit raidbuffed, depending on your agility, so you are fine. Also keep in mind, bosses have a 4.8% melee crit depression as far as people can tell.
