So I went arms on wedensday after beeing fury for way to long. I've been reading some tips here and think I'm getting the "rotation" and all that right.
However I find myself having over 60rage for the most of the fights, I just cant seem to manage to use it all. Is this how it should be or am I doing something wrong?
If you really need to rage dump, heroic strike, and if all else is is unusable spam slam. There's not really much else you can do; I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Anyway, I made an addon to help ease my transition, and think it may be helpful. However, it's not too fleshed out; I've spent about four hours on it or so with some shady logic, and could really use some feedback!
Hands Warrior : WoWInterface Downloads : Warrior

It's a 'live' flow chart kind of deal. The logic is posted on the WoWI page.

That's three screenshots in one. Basically, it shows you what ability you should use... I think. Feedback/suggestions would be great.

Well, if you're using the best possible logic, it should look something like this;

If Rend is expiring, refresh
If TfB has less than 1.5s left before the refresh (~4.5s remaining on the buff), Overpower
If SD is available, Execute
Mortal Strike
Overpower
Slam

You're better off hitting MS rather than Overpower if you have enough time to toss the OP after the MS without running into other CD collision issues.

The build I've been using:

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Couple things. I find Imp HS and Tact Mast nice for those situations that I do have HS and possibly switch stances. Be it PVP, w/e

I don't have weapon mastery. I have way to much expertise on my gear, it's silly to me.

I know the Imp MS isn't quite as needed as it doesn't mesh with expected rotation, but on those times when you don't have TfB or SD proced, it means a potential MS>Slam, which is win.

Maces because I'ma dwarf and that's what kind of weapons I like to use, and until they fix ArP/i hit cap/I get a betrayer, it's what ima swing.

The big one to me, is as far as increasing DPS, I found unbridled wrath to be a solid DPS boost. Why? Rage. Moah the merrier. Allows for more rage per white hit, and even if your topping off in rage, that's why we have HS. Arms is GCD busy, so any damage we can do off of our GCD's, (HS/Cleave + Whitehits) is also win. I favor slightly more hit over the cap, again for moah+better rage gen offa white hits.

This started as a 3.1 Arena idea, and I've really delved into the PVE DPS, pulling 3.2 on patches, and 5.5 on Thadd in 25's. Not bad for an offspec, and for once in my life, I don't feel useless if I'm not tanking boss. I keep up demo/TC, even though they aren't improved, to help my heals, and my other DPS, by pushing my MT's threat higher as he doesn't have to worry about these things. I run with a ret pali with imp might, and I feel my points are better spent on raid DPS in Unbridled Wrath over the few extra hundred HP I can maintain on the tanks.

Get yourself a passive 25% ArP from gear, 50% reduction from Grimtoll, 25% from FF and Sunder = GG socket STR all around

Hey, does this ArP thing mean that I should enchant my weapon with executioner?

I'd still stick with Berserking, for now. The argument is basically between 200 STR and 120 ArP. I'm not sure on how the uptimes differ, but they'd have to be heavily in favor of Executioner for it to win out.

I went from Fury to Arms, using almost the same gear. My current trinket is Greatness and MoT.

My hit is only 184. I'm thinking of using Grimtoll for the hit and ArPen. Which trinket should remove for GT?

MoT, by a lot.

It's worth mentioning that there's a significant DPS gain by getting enough ArP and then swapping Grim Toll or Mjolnir out for other trinkets. I'm sitting at a tad under 70% from rating and Battle Stance, and it's pretty amazingly effective.

Personal my rotation priority is diffrent, with imp. Overpower.
Taste of Blood proc>anything.

Heoric Strike isn't worth the use, 0,5 sec slam as much as possible as rage dumb, otherwise use your rage on Execute proc.

A couple of things I will throw into the mix here:

1) Heroic Strike is virtually useless to Arms, it is a secondary Rage Burn after Slam. There is little reason to spec into it at all. I would suggest getting 3 points in Parry just in case you get hit.

2) I'm not sure why people ignore Iron Will, it reduces the time in which you are immobilized, which means you can get back to doing damage faster. Tactical mastery or Heroic Strike are not worth it in comparison, if you are doing straight Arms DPS.

3) I do not think I can give up Improved Mortal Strike.

4) As far as Priority, there are other things now to consider. First, as has been mentioned, Mortal Strike has a cooldown - the faster you use it, the faster you can use it again. Using Revenge when a caster is casting is now beneficial, just something else to keep in mind. Also, I think we are at the point where Revenge does more damage than Sudden Death Execute. However, Revenge does have a small cooldown, and Sudden Death execute does not.

What does this mean? Well, your Priority List may change depending on the situation. Making use, especially good use, out of ever GCD is optimal. I would not bother wasting time on Heroic Strike, always use Slam whenever you have no other ability to use.

Another tip: If you have a good tank, charge the boss, rend, and Bladestorm. By the time you are done Bladestorm, you have full rage, and every ability will be lit up, so you can start your priority-based rotation and get it going very quickly.

BTW, there's a post response from GC that basically states HOW they calculate Armor Penetration, and that the EJ testing of 85% effectiveness is in fact, working as intended. sigh

Not true, really. The ArP cap/target is calculated after armor debuffs are applied, which means that if you're on a fully Sundered/FF mob the ArP from buffs cap is actually ~96%.

no no, i didn't say that 81-85% is the cap on armor we can ignore. I didn't mean it like that at all. I was saying that the recent live testing that put ArPen being only 81% effective (why does it seem like i'm not doing enough dps?!) questions were answered by this post. I understand that post armor debuffs, you can still reach as high as 96% armor ignored.

I'm just trying to figure out now if gemming for all ArPen is still worth staying as, or going back to all str again. or possibly half/half.

When i get enough armor penetration, would it be a good idea to upgrade [Poleaxe Specialization] for the extra crit for axes?

Using Revenge when a caster is casting is now beneficial, just something else to keep in mind.
I'm pretty sure it only works in PvP. I haven't noticed any effect when using it on mobs, and the tooltip does state "Player." I also think you mean Overpower and not Revenge .

The reason we use Execute before OP is that your execute gets the benefit of 10 extra rage. If that benefit wasn't there, the order would really be irrelevant (actually, you'd want to execute first because of the proc chance, but that's really minor).

Kaze, the STR/ArP discussion is interesting. The people on EJ seem convinced ArP is the best way to go, but it seems like they've just arrived at this arbitrarily without testing or math. Here are the facts:

ArP still stacks better than any other stat
AP (and consequentially STR) is a flat DPS boost per point
ArP is a % boost per point

What this means is that there will be a point when your DPS without ArP (practically this will actually be a certain AP/STR level) is high enough that you should start stacking ArP. For example, let's assume 1 AP = 1 DPS. If you have 1000 DPS, a single point of AP is worth 0.1% DPS. If you have 4000 DPS, a single point of AP is worth 0.025% DPS. In the first case ArP doesn't look that attractive because point for point, AP is better. In the second case ArP looks a lot more attractive.

Or to put it simply, Arms has a hit/expertise cap. It has minimum crit level. And then it has a minimum AP level. Once these levels are reached you stack ArP until you hit the cap.

The current issue is finding where that minimum AP level is, and the only answer is experimentation.

Well from my personal experience I can tell you it's not feeling like 3k AP is hitting that minimum yet haha.

ehm Some1 heard about rage dumping only through Heroics Strikes without Slam?
Crap my war (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...BC%D0%B8%D1%80) was doing only 3.2kdps (with BattleShout only) on the boss dummy, well 4k through burst with bladestorm. After some reading I replaced my old str gems with ARP gems and on dummy my DPS now 3k /cry....
Some1 can tell me mb Im doing wrong?
My list of priority: 1 Rend 2 Execute 3 OP 4 MS 5 ragedump.

With my fury of five AP is 3300+ unbuffed, crit 40,4%, arp ~23%

Even on the spreadsheet from landsoul, with my current stats, it has ArP for me at 1.0825 and if I swap out my helm for t7.5helm it puts it at 1.100 SEP.

Basically, the more armor Pen you have, the more valuable it becomes because it approaches "zero'ing out" (although technically not possible because of what GC said) the mobs armor. I sit at 3000 AP unbuffed, crit 35% and arp 23.55% and I put out 3k already. I'm gonna have to believe that you're rotation isn't optimal.
