wondering about this because people are saying its warrior, but i thought that druid tanks were out dps them by a bit even with revenge buff.

I would say druid from my experinment with my druid and warrior ... but I love my 5.5k shieldslams

what is your ap, and shield block value thats letting you pull off crits that big, I thought i was pretty well geared, and the most ive seen is 2700 from shield slam.

Well, in the past it was definitely druids...but I think one of Blizzard's goals with Wrath was to erase some of that difference.

I'd love to see a few different comparisons:
- Damage when tanking (bear in tank gear, prot warrior in tank gear/def stance). I seem to recall posts in the official beta forums indicating that these were pretty close.

- Damage when off-tanking in situations like being a hateful strike soaker (so possibly still in tank gear, but only taking occasional hits so possibly switching weapons, switching out of def stance for a bit, etc - honestly I don't know what warriors do when in that sort of role to keep up their threat when not getting hit)

- Damage when doing a purely dps role (so the raid doesn't need you to tank a boss...druid in dps gear and in cat form, warrior in dps gear and not defensive stance)

Similar comparisons with paladins and DKs would be interesting.

Anyone done any tests like this?
