| | | Raiding as Fury for first time...
Main focus on my warrior is tanking. Secondary has always been MS/PvP spec..... So I've decided to give fury a try.
Tonight I'll be doing Karazhan as a Fury warrior. I've got the spec down, and I've done some instances lately as Fury, so I know what I am doing...
Got a few questions about gear though. (Unfortunately I am logged in my PvP Arms setup).
I have the Spiteblade from netherspite, the mace from Illhoof, and the Quickening Blade from H MgT. After I got the spiteblade is was using that as my main hand and the Quickening Blade as my off hand. I feel like that is going to be the best for consistent rage building, considering I am new to Fury and probably need the help, but I want to enchant my weapons tonight before the raid.
I am probably gonna go Executioner on mainhand and put +20str on offhand (maybe mongoose if I have the mats on my bank alt.) I read somewhere that slower offhand is probably better DPS, but being new to Fury....do you think I should stick it out with the QBofthePrince?
I am also gonna be regemming since I learned more about the soft cap for hit. And go for mostly +8str gems. I am thinking I will have close to 1800AP with these changes.
Also, what enchant should I get on my boots? If I get surefooted than I only need to worry about getting +85 hit rating which might help in regemming.
When I was a DPSer in the past I was a Fire mage, so the mechanics are significantly different.
Any tips would be helpful!!

surefooted for boots is great, Executioner + Mongoose is considered best but STR is close.
Slow off hands have a slight edge in dps due to WW but come with spikier rage. if your rage tends to get close to 100 then probably a fast off hand may win on dps. In any case its nothing near as important as shaman off hand speed.
Just be sure you keep your enrage buff up and hit those cooldowns and trinkets when available.

Honestly if this is your first time in kara as fury, keep 2 slow weapons. Your rage will be spikier, but it will also help you keep your aggro down. Be prepared to die ALOT. It is our lot in life to nuke well but die quick I am afraid to say. 95 hit is the must, get your crit as close to 30% in zerker as you can to keep flurry up, hope their is a pally to give you salv. Do not be afraid to move from target to target even if their is a kill order simply to keep below your threat cap. Like the above poster, make sure you are keeping battle shout and rampage up, BT every cool down (you will be tempted to hit ww but be patient) and do not consider attuneman an accurate judge of your performance, his debuff plays hell with fury warriors and makes us look like we are still in greens.
Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the advice guys!
I went with the faster off hand because in the end, I thought the weapon was considerably better overall.
I had about 105hit, so I was good there. After being full buffed (yay for 3 pallies!! salv, might, and kings) I had about 32% crit (35% when mongoose procced) and 3082 Attack Power!!!
I was so excited. I used a flask, becuase I have the gold and I wanted to perform well my first time. But that was it. Other than that is was just raid buffs and self buffs. Considering my gear, 3k attack power probably isn't that high. But I regemmed for more STR and got the attack power leg enchant.
I had a great time, but the offtank didn't show up so I was thrown into that position as well. I think I could have been first or second on overall damage (was number one on a few bosses and most of the trash except AoE stuff where the mage destroyed me), but I had to throw on my sword and shield and tank stuff kind of a lot. Our MT was a fairly gimp paladin.
We got Curator down and then people wanted to go to bed. The raid doesn't move as fast when I am not tanking because the tank is less experienced at leading the raid. He was also unable to tank Nightbane due to gear, so I am assuming he can't handle Prince either. Which means I have to respec to finish the clear tonight =(. It's all good though. We are bringing a really well geared Prot Pally next week, so I get to DPS again!! And he can handle every boss and every pull by himself. I know my warrior can tank all the enemies, just can't hold threat on them. Pally has that job easy though.
I have all the primal fires I need for the red belt of battle, and I am gonna try and get that crafted today (need more Adamantite!!).
I have about 30 badges again. And if I respec back to protection, I might do a few heroics or something. My tanking gear is good enough to do ZA and early T5, so I am not really concerned with more tanking gear. So I'll picking up some badge fury stuff.
Any suggestions? I was thinking the trinket to replace my hellfire blue. Or maybe the 60 badge ring.
Here is my armory: The World of Warcraft Armory
It has me in my "max dps" gear.

Reason: Added Armory.

You can also get hourglass of the unraveller from BM, it's not far off the badge one if you want to save badges, however your best option is MgT for the shard of contempt. Badge OH weapon is only 45 badges, badge ring is good too. Also change your meta gem to reckless earthstorm. Get the CE glyph for your helm. There's more but this will be a good start.

Oh and get yourself exalted with the aldor. You need the proc on your neck and the better shoulder enchants.

My suggestions is right now go out and farm brd brewfest boss to get the trinket from there. It is the exact same as the 41 badge bloodlust brooch, but you get it for a 2 minute boss fight.
Get it while you can!
edit: you have it. My bad. 41 badge trinket is probably a bigger upgrade for you than the ring, though that ring is pure hotness.

Thanks for the suggestions!!
The OH is nice, and I am thinking about getting it. But the QPotP is pretty good and I JUST put mongoose on it!! So I think I will hold off on that one.
Probably go for the trinket first and do Black Morass each day to try and get the hourglass.
And yeah, you are right about the Aldor stuff. I need it for tanking, too. I will go out there and farm some Aldor today. Or maybe see if the prices dropped a little. I JUST hit revered so I have a ways to go. I actually think I still have some quests for Aldor.
I can't believe I don't have the Head enchant on my goggles. Heh, I will handle that right off the bat. The reason I chose the Meta gem I have is becuase I use that helmet for my PvP set as well... But since I am focusing on Fury now, I might have to go grab a reckless meta.
Edit: Hmmm... Did you mean Relentless Earthstorm.

Oh and quickening blade is still good for execute phase, and also for tanking too as a threat weapon. I finally got mine two days back. The shard of contempt is huge though so if you're able to run mgt, then just skip BM. Personally I'm still waiting for it to drop
Oh and grats on the red belt
I really wouldn't bother with the badge trinket as you have the brewfest one (I have both because I bought the badge one ages ago), I think they'd be better things to spend the badges on. Also while you're running Kara, and to be honest your stats are more than good enough for kara, you can pick up some rings like mithril ring of the unscarred and ring of a thousand marks, they'll help over your pvp rings. My stats and gear are fairly similar to yours so if you want to look at my gear you can check it here: The World of Warcraft Armory
I'm currently specced prot, but I'm wearing my fury gear. I have to spec prot to get a spot in a mgt pug lol.

Yeah... I am sick of MGT....
I've tanked that instance about 20 times just to get the Commendation of Kael'thalas. I just get so pissed in there.
Shard of Contempt drops = 1
Commendation drops = 1
Timbal's Caster DPS drops = 2
Vial of the Sunwell = 16
I hate that trinket so much. It drops like every time. UGH!
That place is such a hastle, especially since I have almost every other piece of gear I want out of there.
I have the same leggings as you in the bank, I think. I might have vendored them, but I don't think so. I also have the T4 legging token in the bank, but I think the S3 is better.
The Grips of Deftness dropped the other day in Karazhan, but I was there on my mage. Sucks.
I feel like I am pretty well geared considering I am really a tank that is bored. I will get a few more pieces I am sure, but I think I am sitting pretty for the expansion.
My goal really is to just do the dailies everyday for gold and farm aldor/scryer rep on all my characters. Then I'll finish leveling my 56 druid and 52 priest to 70. I might even wait on that, consider what patch 2.3 did for 20-60 leveling. (I think it was 2.3).

Haha I get timbal everytime, yeah S3 are better than the vanquisher (although in the xpac new gems should make vanquisher better (i.e. last til 76 rather than 74). I'm working on my S3 legs though and the S4 gloves by steadily losing arena games lol, I wonder if I'll get both before woflk hits.

Woot, picked up the bracers off Gruul and got +12 STR and some decent gems. Attack power in Berserker went up to 1919!!!
After Kara this week I will have enough badges for something decent (think I have 27 atm, so 49 after Kara).
I still really want to get the AP trinket, just because I feel that the Hellfire one is my weakest item. I don't know though. I just really don't want to do MGT ever again.
Dory's is an upgrade, and so is the ring. Just feel like the trinket would be more noticable, cheaper, and easier.

Couple of notes:
If you have the Brewfest trinket, don't get Bloodlust Brooch! They share the same cooldown so the extra AP is completely lost.
Don't just do Black Morass each day, do Black Morass over and over until it drops (it drops in regular so no lock-in).
Apart from the badge fists, I think the best piece of gear you can buy by far: Gauntlets of Rapidity. Ignore the Int and look at the other stats - I didn't replace them until gloves from Akama dropped.

What you mean is that you can't stack them. The use effect is shared but the cooldown is not. I.E. You can use one, and then use the other one right away. So there is benefit in getting and using both if you have no better options, however being able to stack trinket use is very desireable.

I use bloodlust brooch and the new trinket - why wouldn't it be good? Their passive attack power buff stacks and the on use you can cue up to have the bonus ap for double the time you normally would.

FWIW there's a new trinket coming out for honor in patch 3.0, Battlemaster's Resolve, Equip: 120AP, Use: Increase Health by 1750 for 3 mins.
I reckon 120AP will be better than the bloodlust brooch = 72AP + 278*20/120 = 118AP if you were to use it every single time the cooldown was up. It costs 35K honor I believe.

Yeah, 35k honor.... No tanks. Definitely sounds like a nice trinket, but I just can't spend that much time doing PvP. If I did, I'd rather do it on my paladin so she has some better ret gear.
I don't know what I'll get. I'll wait until after Kara to decide, in case some different rings drop (I'd take the Shermanar Great Ring and then change my Kara ring to DPS, Garonas, or 1k Marks....all upgrades.)
I think my cloak is solid. Even the Dory's is better. I am still leaning to the AP trink.
Edit: I wish the patch would come out. Then my AoE threat will be way better and I won't mind farming H MGT and badges.
Also want to add that I finally got Aldor to exalted. I don't intend to spend any more gold until the expansion comes out, unless I get to like 10k and I buy the 5k mount for my warrior (mage already has it and I wish I could give it to the warrior instead =( ).
I do the dailies on the Isle on my warrior really fast now. Fury has little to no downtime against enemies that easy to kill. I think I did the whole Isle in 30-60 minutes yesterday. Doing it on my mage is fairly quick, too. I want to do it on my paladin more but she is GIMP! The World of Warcraft Armory

Picked up the Abacus from Mechanar last night. It was the H daily and I am prot spec for the week. First time I've seen it drop. It is definitely an upgrade over the Bladefist trinket from hellfire. So I am happy with that. Really close to 2k AP in Berserker Stance.
I also think I picked up enough mats doing a few heroics to throw Surefooted on my boots. Which will probably help my DPS. I got to do a SL on normal the other day as Fury. Was my second or third instance as a fury warrior. I did pretty good. I kept up with a T4ish rogue. He definitely outgeared me, so I was pretty happy with myself. Still feel I wasn't hitting my full potential. I think the problem might be that my hotkeys are all over the place because I just kinda move a few abilities around when I respec from Prot to MS to Fury. My stuff is actually pretty consfusing.
1-3 = Stances (except in defensive stance where I use F1 or F3 to get to battle and zerker)
4 = Sweeping Strikes
5 = Fear (gotta change that cuz I fat finger that one when I want to use Sweeping Strikes too often)
6 = Cleave
7 = AoE taunt
8 = 30 min CD
9 = Demoralizing (also Z in battle and zerker)
R = MS/BT/Devestate (depending on build)
T = Attack macro
E = Execute
F = Heroic Strike
G = Rend/WW
H = Trinket 1
Shift + 2 = Trinket 2
Shift + 3 = Victory Rush
Shift + 4 = Racial on all characters (for UD it is Canni)
Shift + 5 = Racial on all characters (for UD it is WOTF)
C = Charge, Intercept, Intervene
V = Interupt
B = ThundClap, Berzerker Rage
X = Hamstring/Spell Reflect
Shift + E = Deathwish/Stun/Rampage (depending on build)
Shift + F = Battle Shout
Shift + G = Commanding Shout
Q = Throw or Overpower
[ = Mount
] = Air mount
Shift + [ = Ram
\ = Bloodrage
- = Bandage
Pretty crazy. It started out as my PvP setup. Then I used it for tanking but 1-4 are Taunt, Devestate, SS, Revenge. I really want to redo the whole mess, but I am so used to my current set up. But for fury, it gets a little bit like twister.
I've considered moving my movement keys over and then using QAZ for stance changing and just shifting everything over one.
In other news, I picked up a tanking BOE epic ring. (impenatrable forces??) for 40g. Not a bad price. I am gonna use it in my tank set so I can switch my Kara ring over to DPS. Big improvment over the Band of the Exorcist! 40g seemed super low, but whatever!! I lose 1 stamina and 400ish armor, but I gain like 7 defense rating, which I am gonna need in 3.0 anyways. I will be 5 defense short of 490.
