Two droolingly hot two handers...any DK tank have either?

As a Death knight Tank I've been using Marrowstrike for quite some time. However I've become very bored with it and the lack of strength on it doesn't help.

So I've been looking around for a new shiny weapon and the two that I've found are:

Aesir's Edge Drops from XT hardmode in Ulduar
AND
Keen Obsidian Edged Blade Drops from Ony

Now the Ony drop would be far easier to get based on the fact that it has a 6% drop rate and getting a group for Ony is easier than getting a group that will manage hardmode XT (in my experience anyway)

So basically, I just want to know who out there has either of these swords and what do they think about it over their previous weapon?

Never got Aesir's Edge to drop, but it is one of the better Stamina weapons you can get from Ulduar if you use the sockets well.

I have been waiting for Ony to drop that sword again, but it's been weeks without luck. The second it does, it is all mine, thankfully, and I could use the upgrade. I'll be getting the 25-man version though. From the looks of it Aesir's Edge would do you better, assuming that you can get it, and you don't need the expertise.

I'm using Worldcarver currently.

There isn't a major shortage of tanking options anymore, though there is a bias to 25s for better options. Aesir's Edge is one of the few 10 man weapons that really, really stand out for DKs in general. However, I've seen one AE... and de'ed at least 5 Seals of Ulduar (another of the HM XT10 drops) that no else wanted. I hope your luck is better if your group goes after HM XT10.

I do recall a few axes out of Ulduar10 off FL (normal?) and Yogg (normal). Perhaps those would be other options, assuming your group is farming those regularly?

Why go for Keen Obsidian Edged Blade when you can get the Sharpened Obsidian Edged Blade?

On that note, though, Venom, you could probably get yourself into regular pugs of Ony25 if you have the opportunity. It may not be easy to get the sword, but it's a chance to get a nice weapon.

Naturally, Keen Obsidian Edged Blade dropped from Ony while I was on my hunter a few weeks back; I have not seen it drop since.

Well I'm hoping to get the Ony weapon at least. But I have competition with a dps warrior in my guild o.O

PUG's are easy enough to come by for Onyxia though, at least on my server.

I have Keen Obsidian Edged Blade - Item - World of Warcraft and it's a nice sword - a huge one at that. Also gives me a huge chunk of my required expertise. I suspect, however, when I have to lose it, there goes my expertise, lol. My previous tanking weapon was Ironsoul - Item - World of Warcraft and it was nice too, but it had been a great deal of time before I felt a sword in my hands.

I actually wanted to get Aesir's Edge - Item - World of Warcraft for a long time and then one day, Keen Obsidian Edged Blade - Item - World of Warcraft dropped while I was single-tanking an Ony10 encounter for the first time. Our other DK DPS didn't need it so I grabbed it for my tank set. Personally, I would still prefer Aesir's Edge because of its two gem sockets - that's 60 stamina right there if you choose to go that route which leads to 201 stamina on the sword. Like you said, it's harder to get a group for that unless you have a guild willing to do them, and even then it's a roll on if the sword will drop or not. Basically, stick with whichever you happen to have drop for you and it will last you for a long time. I currently tank ToGC25 with the Ony Sword and there are no threat issues or anything.
