wws, online dmg meters

Hello everyone I am the guild leader of our semi-casual raid guild, and i was wondering how I could put our dmg meters online or what exactly a WWS report was and how i could get them going to start tracking our people and the people who are apping to the guild? We just downed toc 25 for the first time, and I would like to be able to see how we are doing on damage and heals and everything else overall.

**this might not be the best place to post this...but i figured you could point me in the right direction***

I can suggest you World of Logs's (World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis) client and its Live Report feature, which uploads the battle right after it's done and the parses are nice, in conjunction with the addon Loggerhead to keep the combatlog active in the places you want to log: LoggerHead - Addons - Curse

I personally prefer World of Logs also, but WWS specifically refers to wowwebstats.com, which performs basically the same function.

If you don't use an addon like Loggerhead, combat logging can be started at any time by typing /combatlog into the chat window - it will then output a file to your \World of Warcraft\Logs folder. From there you upload using the WWS or WoL client and it'll display all stats from when the combat log was started until when it ended.

One thing that may be worth bearing in mind - sometimes Vista doesn't seem to like you writing to the WoW directory unless you run it as an administrator, so check it's actually outputting a file if you're running Vista Home Premium or something

WWS has not been updated and instances like ToC are not displaying correctly. Your best options are World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis or /and WoW Meter Online - Combatlog Replay These are two of the most reliable parsers that have remained consistent and updated.

As far as tracking applicants, if you are looking for DPS those two sites above will do that if you are uploading - all members of the raid are captured as long as you have your logging setup.

In addition to just logs, you can also use a mod like Raid Tracker (attendance, items, etc) are all recorded based on your settings- complete with time toon joined raid, left raid, discons etc.

Hope this helps!

I am going to try the world of logs tonight when i get home, what raid tracker addon do you perfer? When i created this guild 2 months ago, I had intended it to be a 10 man hardmode group, hell we didnt even have enough lvl 80s to sign our own guild charter lol. Now were clearing normal 25 man toc in 1 nite....although for some reason we still cant get past thorim/freya in ulduar 25....... and we dont have the gear to do heroic toc 25....

So I am kinda out of my league with where to go next, and how to build the guild up. I mean so far were getting upgrades, but I would love to be able to clear both 25 man raids.
