| | | building threat rotation w/out SS
Hello,
I am a fury/prot warrior World of Warcraft Europe -> Talents
I read all the rotation examples in single amd multi-tanking and SS, obviously, plays an important role. However, can anyone imagine a good threat rotation without SS? I would appreciate any suggestion. When having a lock in the group, I have real problems to keep aggro, the lock ends up killed! A bit frustrating. Is there, with my build, a way to get more threat and therefore keep the mobs/boss better?
I have 493 def, 12500AC-11000 health (unbuffed), 16.88 dodge, 16.53 parry, 17.54 block. Using mainly feelsteel helm and gloves, timewarden, adamantine and dabiris. (armory is not update since 27th Nov). I am trying to get a better sword (now crystalline kopesh, not the best, i know)
Any sugestion?
thanks and gratz for this helpful forum!

Devastate, Devastate, Devastate, Devastate, Revenge, repeat
SS in your rotation will still be more TPS.
EDIT: Totally didn't look at your talents and didn't see the Fury part of Fury/Prot. Ignore everything above this.
Get Omen and tell your lock to pay attention.

thanks and gratz for this helpful forum! | If I may make a reccomendation, you may want to start with your talent make up.
Something a little like this: World of Warcraft Europe -> Talents
It will give you extra threat from your tclap and bloodthirst abilities. I think part of the problem is that with a furry build your threat is going to come from the damage you do and your best damage abilities require you to get crit and do damage.
Bloodthirst, sunder, sunder, tclap, sunder, sunder, and your damage abilities mixed in when rage allows. Don't forget good solid focus fire and the lock needing to slow down his dps if someone peels. It will also help to tab sunder the next target while you are still focusing on the primary.
I can't see your build but you may really want to stack pvp gear instead of traditional tank gear because you need to stack attack power for rampage.
Be warned I am a nub warrior as well, but I have been doing a little homework. If anyone can think up better I would appreciate a reply to this thread as well.

Get Tactical Mastery and 3/3 Sunder Armor. Then simply replace Shield Slam with Bloodthirst and Devastate with Sunder Armor in a normal tanking rotation (so BT, Rev, SA, SA).

Thanks guys!
Norrath, should i add shield block at same point?
Vaguedream, interesting build as well, i will give it try.
I do not do much PvP and like to quest a lot although now I am just instancing (normal). I know that it is would be better to get good on one thing, but would it be a build Arms/Prot better than fury/prot? I like DW, isn't it Arms more for two-hands? I heard that PvE is fury and PvP arms...
have a nice weekend! and thanks again for your input to my questions!

If you take a lot of damage, yes, add Shield Block. If the mobs can crush (i.e. skull bosses or level 73s), Shield Block needs to be up as much as possible.
You're not going to tank as well as a full Protection warrior. You get far too many important abilities as Protection. But with some patience from your DPS, you should do fine.
In general, yes, PvE is Fury and PvP is Arms, but some people like going with an Arms build for PvE, and some like going with a Fury build for PvP (though the latter is not recommended at all; Mortal Strike is unfortunately the end-all, be-all of warrior PvP).

Thanks again Norrath. Last question, I promise
Where should I take out the 6 points for getting the 3 TM and the 3 SA?
