Just want to echo all the LOLkara sentiments.

I am now solo tanking most of it. After multiple packs the entire way to Attuneman, and deciding to take Him and Nightbane by my lonesome, our Guild Leader joked, "Why don't you just pull those blacksmith mobs too?"

So I did. <3

I'd have to agree...

I too am disappointed by the nerf of the raids. I've read that Blizz justifies this by saying that they wanted folks to be able to finish stuff off before WLK. From my perspective, this reasoning kind of misses the point. For me raiding is 'the challenge'. Now there is no challenge. My guild was making good progress through ZA; we were just mastering the Hexlord fight. Then the patch. Next trip; all three chests done on timed run, all bosses one shotted. No deaths. Knowing that WLK was around the corner, I was really looking forward to putting the pedal to the metal and getting Zul'jin before the release, at his 'normal' difficulty. I was caught unaware by the pre-expansions nerf....

With all the new tanking abilities, I would much rather have tried these against the proper, difficult, old raid challenges to see how they fare. Wouldn't that have been a much more meaningful test of tanking 3.0?

There really is a difference between learning something new and clearing out stuff for gear. Its expansion time, man, if you didn't get to the content before the game changed, then you are just out of that experience.

Well, I for one applaud the nerfs. I just started playing wow back in May of this year, and have a tank who has seen 4/9 of BT, and a mage who has seen 2/5 in Hyjal.

We did down Rage pre-nerf so we were headed in the right direction, but we ripped all the way to Archi the first night after the nerf, and it injected life into our raiding group.

While my tank was geared in all the nice badge pieces before the nerf and would have eventially gotten to SWP, or at least BT without a nerf my mage would not have. I started taking him into Kara at 68, and those were full clears. Upon my 70 ding, had a stockpile of gear to equip.

We will encounter tougher content soon enough.

One of the challenges considering raiding is also: beat the content before it gets nerfed.

If you can't, tough luck.
