Hound summoner in heroic ramps...

Can never nuke him in time... He always summons the hounds... Are there any tricks for him?

Yer, more dps =p
That prob wasnt that helpful but thats what it comes down to. CC the other two mobs so you dont have to generate threat on them. If you got a hunter use misdirect to help build agro at start. Tell them to blast the hell out of him. I'll use taunt, conc blow, whatever to keep agro.

If they start dps earlier then usually, blow cooldowns and dont hold anything back, they should be able to do it. If you cant, your prob gonna get 2 more hounds + the pat. Gets easier with better geared dps.

If you can't focus fire the hound master down and everyone is using every trick in the book to both deal damage and CC him, you need better gear or better players.

DPS is the key for sure on him. But failing that, one thing I found that works ok is to pull him as far back as you can, dps him down and failing to get him should the dogs spawn, they tend to spawn in the distance a bit and run to you. Save your CD on your Challenging Shout and corral them all, TC and rotation. Hopefully this will allow your DPS to catch up and take them down.

Good luck.

my last few times in there i have setup the CC on the two other mobs and just told the DPS to pull (i.e. mage pyro pull, etc...). i then taunt as he closes range on the mage or whoever and concussive blow him while he is burned down. has worked like a charm and your DPS will love that you let them off the leash and handle it like a champ.

I like to use Thunderclap and tank all the dogs too, tell everyone to get the stray ones, and keep full dps on boss, stay as far apart from each other as you can (incase you get the curse, get away from the team), the dogs mana drain so get a team member who doesn't use mana to get the stray dogs, if you want to asign someone.

i wouldn't try this - the time spent in pulling him back is time lost in killing him. just charge in and tell dps to go all out - if you get the hounds, you have pretty low dps'ers in the group...
