pugging naxx

hello everyone. I'm in a very small, very casual guild that has started tossing around the idea of raiding. problem is, we're never going to have more than 4-5 people online at a time, so we'll always have to pickup more even for a 10 man. what with dual-specs and alts, we all have the ability to fill multiple roles, so the core group composition is flexible. with an eye toward raiding 10-man naxx, which would you recommend?

a) supply all our own tanks and try to pick up a healer or two.

b) supply all our own healers and try to pick up an offtank.

c) go with our best geared toons (1 tank, 1 healer, 2-3 dps) and pick up the rest.

d) some other combination not mentioned here.

thanks for your advice!

I'd go with Option C... mainly because you're not asking people to play spec/toons that may not be their first choice.. and secondly because it ensures you're spreading loot more broadly across the different roles in your guild which should help you progress faster even though you are PuGging spots.

Keep in mind PuG groups are great guild recruiting opportunities as your guild's skill improves so you may gain enough new talent to worry less about this down the road.

Option C (but healers can be tough to find so if you can do 1 tank, 2 healers and 1-2 DPS you'd be perfect)

You ideally would have 1 good player minimum in each category. 1 MT, 1 healer and 1 DPS (preferably ranged). As a raid leader you need to be able to rely on 1 or 2 DPS to perform certain tasks that Pugs usually fail at.

You need a go to guy for freeing people from web wraps, tanking horses on 4H, kiting adds on Gluth, etc.
