Raid set up

With my guild getting to 80 now, I'm wondering a general set up for 10 and 25 mans. How many healers, tanks, dps - melee & ranged is decent to start. I know that there are many variables, but usually there is a balanced number. Also, for those who've been there, are there any specific types of necessities. I know blizz wants us to take who we want, but like is chain healing a + or does any combo of tanks, healers, dps work? Lastly, I'd love to see if TS could put out a general guide to Naxx; the different wings, their bosses, and maybe what to expect. I got into the game late in classic WoW and only got through the Spider and DeathKnight wings. I've tried calling up a few of my old links to Naxx but they were no longer there.

Thanks.

For 10 mans i always start with setup of 1 Main Tank, 1 Off Tank/DPS Tank, 3 healers (mix of druids priests and pallys) and 5 DPS with CC mixed in. Remember in Naxx with undead your Shadow Priests are great for CC.

For 25man i start generally do a 4 Tank 7 healer set up with the rest being filled in by dps or special needs for certain fights. This configurations have served me very well as a base starting setup.

For spider wing of Naxx in particular it is helpful to have good HoT's and aoe available.

For spider wing do yourself a favor and have a shaman with you. Poison cleanse totem is so unbelievably amazing for that wing. Very doable without it, but you're defintely making things harder on yourself without that totem.

Since its still early in the game my guild is kinda taking whatever we can get for 25s ><

We had 7 shamans yesterday, 2 enhance 2 resto 3 ele. 3 Prot warriors 2 feral druids 1 prot pally... obviously not the ideal comp.

For a full clear of Naxx25 you will need 2 priests for MC's on Razuvious and it will help on KT shackles.

My ideal setup would probably be:
3 tanks-- Prot war, Feral druid, Prot pally (Sanctuary ftw)
7 healers -- 2 priests, 2 holy pally, 2 resto shams, 1 resto druid
6 melee-- Enhance sham, 1-2 rogues, 1-2 dps war, ret pally, Death knight
9 Ranged -- Ele sham, 2 mages, 1 lolwarlock for healthstones and summons, 1 Shadow priest, HUNTERS. LOTS OF THEM.
