TOC Black Knight GhoulS

So hmm

I just started tanking with my alt yesterday and I got minimally geared quite fast (25k hp unbuffed and 541 def)

I seem to have a problem keeping aggro on me at phase 2 on black knight normal TOC, the ghouls keep going everywhere even if I spam Thunderclap and Shockwave and Demo Shout...

I start the phase doing Demo Shouts until all ghouls poped up and then I Thunderclap and Shockwave them, but they always get back on my priest friend (we've been farming it to gear up our alts).

Do you have any advise or am I doing something wrong I need tips !

Ghouls are going to go everywhere most of the time. It is not an issue.

If you time your aoe moves perfectly you can keep some of them but they are easily dealt with by anyone. I know when I am on my mage I just aoe all of them to pad meters and I live fine with all of them on me.

They drop aggro randomly, so you will need to taunt.

If it is an issue (healer problem, dps/healer dieing to their explosions) I usualy tell the group to bomb them down.

Thunderclap once all are spawned, wait a few seconds, mass-taunt
Then run a few steps in one direction, face the ghouls again and shockwave.

This should give your dps enough time to kill them all off without anyone taking damage exept you.

One of my stratedgies for this is to have people stand as close to me as possible during this phase. For this to work you need to be paying attention to when the ghouls are going to explode and move away from them. Being a pally I use concecrate to get general aggro, then if i notice them hitting on my healer or a cloth dps, i'll pop holy wrath to do a quick stun. Frost nova / blizzard work great if you have a mage in the group. All melee = hurt during this phase, but works out nicely during phase 3 IMO.
