Kill Skadi in 3 Minutes

Simple question. Is this possible without pre-farming the harpoons?

I tried this the other day and we got the first 5 harpoons and brought Skadi down (he had breathed 3 times for context). When he landed he immediately WW-ed and a dps ate it. The healer insisted that we would have failed anyways and that you had to prefarm for the achievement.

On the other hand he also insisted that a warrior couldn't pull the hall fast enough to get 5 harpoons in time (the hall doesn't spawn with 5 harpooners afaik).

I do not think it is possible without reset, at least I never seen/heard/read about it being done.

Totally doable, have done it numerous times. The crucial part is being able to tank/grab all the mobs to the end, aoe'd down and have competent dps pick up harpoons and letting it fly everytime you get a range on him. Burn like hell soon as he lands. What some ppl dont realize is that when he proceeds with the WW, the tank is able to taunt Skadi to him as he's WWing so dps dont eat them, melee just backs out till ww is over.

I'm not sure I'm buying that warrior tank is less ideal than others in this achievement, it's just about using the right abilities at the right time.

Warriors have a lot of good snap agro and AoE tools in the box to throw on the way down the hall including challenging shout, demoralizing shout, thunderclap, shockwave, cleave.. plus heroic throw, spell reflect and shattering throw to grab ranged casters on the way. A warrior tank can also DISARM Skadi which makes his first whirlwind do trivial damage allowing a full out DPS burn without putting melee DPS out of the fight.. Pop bloodlust/cooldowns as soon as the warrior has agro and if the warrior is on his game and pops disarm the minute he starts to whirlwind he should be killable before the second WW pops (usually with disarm on cooldown so kiting is required).

If you have a geared guild group, feel free to do it properly. In a PuG, however, whatever your moral qualms, I recommend using the reset trick, and saving yourself a huge headache.
