The problem is that the OT with two adds on him is taking damage from said adds. If he then gets frostblasted hes going to take 104% of his maximum health over 4 seconds.

If the OT is at say, 80% (not a ridiculous number if you're rolling hots with single direct heals to top off) and he gets frost blasted, at 30k health hes going to take 7.5k damage per second. Couple this with GCDs, time-to-target him, and any additional damage he takes as a result of the adds still attacking and it becomes very hard for healers to keep him alive.

The only two times I've seen the tank healed through iceblocks where when a pain suppression / guardian spirit were used.

Got this last night Im so happy!!!

If you guys are having trouble with the OT getting blasted... why use one? Its so much easier to just let the MT tank both the adds and kel... that way there is 0% chance of getting blocked, not to mention an extra DPS slot.

We had in our group

3 melee
2 healers priest/druid
1 shadow priest who offhealed on Kel
3 ranged
1 Tank (me)

Our rogue switched his pally tank alt in for some of the 2 tank fights, but it wasnt too bad... we had some close calls, but Kel went reletivley smooth.

take a pala healer and tell them to keep lay on hands in case the OT gets blasted IMO. Instant 23k-ish heal is usually enough to ward of disaster. iirc Hand of sacrifice redirects 30% of the damage (so the tank would only take 72.8% max health from the ice block (a 35k hp tank would only take around 25k damage which depending on damage stacks isnt going to kill them when they have adds)
