Wondering if its possible to say. Do something like Instructor first if you fail at it a lot. And if a member dies before your actually saved on an ID. Reset it step out and let the instance and its trash reset if you would be safe to try again for Immortal on Instructor. Im talking to someone in my guild at the moment about it and I dont believe you can do so but I would to know if anyone else knows.

I believe that the counter doesnt start till the first boss is dead ( mind you have to make sure no one dies on the kill) but i think that theory works, also another easy way to tel is record the raid id have everyone step out of the instance set to norm then back to heroic and if the ID is different then thats a for sure method of making sure it works ... altho with the not being saved till the boss is done way im just guessing and i think that it should work.

As Murdog said, it should work. I don't know anyone jumping to test it out, though, so you'd really have to find a guild that did exactly that.

Ya it's mostly a backup plan as well. I'm figuring out what I need to do, what classes to bring and most of all the limitations of my players. With 3D down and Ulduar approaching we need to finish the Glory and Heroic:Glory before they remove the mounts. Sadly we got to a late start but as of now things are good. Just not enough time for Achivements.
TY for your answers

Just have tanks stand by ready to taunt loose Understudies and make sure noone goes down to dps the boss before the mindcontroller have things under control.
We had a Immortal going all the way to Thaddius this week, we were doing 20mans and yikes, didn't expect the enrage timer on Thadd to screw us, oh well |

Well, we managed to achieve Immortal two IDs ago, but failed the two IDs before that, and the following week.
The most difficult bosses for us seem to be Razuvius and Kel.
In the week we achieved Immortal, some Melee DDs stepped out of range and used their ranged attacks at Kel.
Last ID we did Razuvius first, a Fury Warrior died towards the end of the fight, we ran out with the boss on 2% health left or so, but managed to reset him.
Disbanded Raid, reinvited, did the trash again, killed boss, this time without any dead. All was looking fine until someone had a d/c at Thaddius and was toasted :/ Even so everyone has to reboot his computer and modem before we start with Immortal, you can never fully avoid disconnects.
So, unfortunately, I can't definately tell you guys if resetting Rezuvious would have helped.

Well we did our first true Immortal attempt the other night. Flawless play in all wings from our players. We were working on our last wing before Saph and Kel.
We were on Gluth, Tank ready everyone good to go. Step in and he evade bugs to a healer on the tube. No one notices and as she jumps re rapes her in mid air. No time for the tank to even react.
The way we practiced was if even a single person died on any fight we would wipe it and redo it until most fights were perfect.
On the plus side last night we got Undying and only need 10 Man 3D and 6 Minute Maly for Glory of the raider.

Yes, if you die on Instructor (and hes the first boss you encounter) you can get out, reset the instance, and do it again.
We did it last week and got to KT where he one shot a lock after the MC and aggro drop. He went to a hunter first and out of range of me, I taunted and he FD'd at the same time. But by the time he made his way back to melee range to me, the lock passed my threat and got one shot.. Lesson learned.

Got it tonight, but can also confirm that if you die on first boss you can wipe, disband, make new raid with new leader and do trash again and it's fine.
We did Patch first and for some reason the healers were asleep and tank died. Like not had any deaths on Patchwerk for months. Last week we failed on Fearlina of all bosses.
KT is still the lucky part though, we got plenty of mindcontrols but we handled it, somehow |
