| | | Volunteer Work - 2 manned!
Thought I would share this story as I thought it was pretty funny.
Last night when running Old Kingdoms our group decided to go for the "Volunteer Work" achievement and not kill any of the followers before they buffed Jedoga. When she came down after the first follower, she proceeded to whirlwind and in turn killed off all of our dps (all melee - 2 Pallies, 1 Druid) in one shot.
Well it took a while, but my healer and I were able to outlast her through the last the 3 sequences and got her down. The DPS did release and tried to come back and help, but when they got through the tunnel they found that several of her followers spawned at the top of the stairs and there was no way past them. They did disappear after the fight was over.
Now I'd like to think I'm pretty well geared at this point, about 26k unbuffed and 23k armor, but I haven't even stepped foot in a 10 or 25 man yet. I cant think of any bossses in TBC Heroics that could be 2-manned in just heroic and badge gear. I guess this is just another sign of how things are slightly easier out in Northrend.
Let me know what you think

well i killed the endboss in ahn karet(heroic) two times from 50% to death with just me and the healer because the DPS wasn't able to kill there adds. We also tried to do volunteer work but she was hitting me like a brick, found it then realy easy with spot rotation.

For Volunteer work it's important to Disarm her if you have the ability to when he is enraged. Also rotate your class cooldowns to mitigate the damage.

disarm and shield block are key to getting it. We did that achievement the 1st time we downed her because the DPS wasn't high enough on the adds :P

Let me know what you think | most bosses can be 2manned, here are some where I've had the DPS die right at the start. Murmur, the last guy from setthek halls, kael'thas, quagmirrian, dragon in ramps, 1st boss in steamvaults. There is probably more but this is not something due to the changes in the game.

Another way to VERY easily get this achievement is to clear the whole area that the boss is in, then kill the adds to start the event. Do a heroic throw or something on Jedoga right when she gets down, then just run straight back and jump off the waterfall. Keep running all the way to the top of the stairs at the entrance to the room. Then you just do the fight like normal, but when the boss goes to go up in the air, she runs all the way back to her platform. She sacrifices the volunteer or whatever, then runs back. By the time she gets back to you, the enrage is gone (takes until she hits the top of the stairs approximately), so its simple to heal through. Its actually a lot easier than if you had done fight normal because healer has some time for mana regen since while boss is running and running back there is no dmg being taken by anyone. Im sure you could 2 man it this way extremely easily, though would probably take a while :P.

If you run out of range, the boss will reset.

Melee shouldn't stay nearby as she drops. You have all the time in the world do kill her so, if you are heavy on melee, make sure they are quick to run away from the whirlwind. Worst case they can simply stay away while she's angry. Disarm is OP. Rotating cooldowns has a lot of use. A dodge trinket, then a shield block/wall, then pain supression, the list goes on.

For anyone doing this it's not actually a whirlwind like warriors do.
The lethal spell is called "cyclone strike" melee and tank need to get away when he does it. He gets an animation like a wind all around him but just watch the cast takes about 1.5 sec. Often done as it lands thats why nobody should be at the land zone so you can see what he does as he lands.
The easy way to do this achievement is to kite tank him. If you keep moving when he stops to do cyclone strike he is away from you just because you are moving. You just go from side to side of the stage area near the inside wall so he never comes near your healer. Just be careful you don't back thru one of the silver flashing ring bombs.
