If you want to fish undisturbed, this is the location to do it. The ONLY ways out from here are to Hearth, or die and res on the top platform. (Mages can teleport, naturally)



I'm standing in the white circle, facing out towards the open lava, the cast will land somewhere in the vicinity of the white shaded area. You will have to adjust your camera so you can see around the "water wheel".

If you have trouble getting to that location easily, you can take off your gear, die in the lava and then jump around as a ghost until you're lodged above the lava so it won't hurt you. Cheers.

Interesting, I'll have to give that a shot.
Getting there will prove...interesting...but once I'm there I should finally be able to snag Ironjaw.

It's secluded, but ranged classes can shoot you from the ledge above it... then camp your body if you're really unlucky.

I probably shouldn't have tried this during Lunar Festival. Both sides are on high alert for intrusions to the capital cities.

Edit: Right, I was posting to mention that do fish from that spot you'll almost certainly want to hack the max camera distance.

Edit 2: Lost track of how many casts it took, but I went from 410 fishing to 444 fishing to get him. Only a hunter and druid noticed me the entire time.

Just remember to bring a few Elixer of Camouflage with you. The back of the Forlorn Cavern is right next to the main central area, and you don't want hunters and druids tipping off the city.

And people said the elixer was worthless <_<

I fished for nearly 3 hours on my orc in the forlorn cavern and didn't get em. Was pretty sad! Also, I got Old Crafty from Orgrimmar on the first cast on the first day of the achievement launch last year in October. I thought it must of been a glitch. Though I've never caught him on any of my other toons!
