i have just started to use icehud an want to know if there are any raid setup that i should use thx up front

only thing I would definitely have as raid dps is the target cast bar enabled so you know when to interrupt or run other than that the bars should be close enough so they are in your field of vision but far enough away so they do not crowd the action

Mainly what he's got going on. Make sure you can see when mobs are casting (it's usually going to be the tanks that get the interrupt as we're in the action and can see everyone that is casting, and in experience dps is just too lazy or unwilling to interrupt casters).
Another thing that has helped me in the past is to make sure that you have your targets target enabled. I usually am pulling 4-5 groups of mobs in heroics and my guild 5man group is composed of mostly melee. Helps a lot to see what mobs are focusing on melee and which on me.
