Pitbull 4 Bar Config Question (where is this?)

Hi everybody,

I've recently switched to using Pitbull 4 based on numerous positive reviews and some PvP videos I've watched using this UI. I understand how to configure the addon pretty well, but there's still something I'm not sure about:

In the PvP video "Hydra 6.5", which seems to use Pitbull, he's got his unit frames set up so that there is a blank space which extends the length of his power/health frame and UNDER his portrait frame. It provides a nice visual break between the powerbar/portrait section and the buffs/debuffs section.

Furthermore, he even seems to have something similar on his party frames: a cast bar which extends the entire length of the unit frame (even going underneath the portrait).

I've been trying to figure out how to get something like that, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. No matter what I do, I can't get ANY bars (casting or empty or whatever) to extend beneath the portrait.

I'm attaching a picture of the UI layout and with these mystery spaces/castbars circled.

EDIT:
Just to clarify what I'm attempting to figure out:

So far, I've only been able to configure Pitbull 4's UI cast bars like this...

Notice where I circled how the cast bar is positioned under the health and mana bars, and stops at the unit portrait.

However, I'm trying to configure the cast bars to be positioned like this (image is from video I found, sorry for lower resolution):

In this screenshot, the cast bar is extending the entire length of the unit frame, including underneath the portrait.

I think this setup is MUCH nicer, since you a) free up more space to the sides of the portrait for displaying larger mana and health bars, b) allows cast bar to be a bit longer, making it easier to differentiate from other bars and providing a longer "window" to see the cast and react to it (if possible), and c) provides a nice, clear cut, functional divider between the health/mana bars and the buffs. Comparing the two setups, the buffs pop out more and don't get cluttered beneath the portrait, colored bars, etc.

So what configuration options/modules/whatever am I missing here to get my cast bars like this? =D

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm really liking pitbull, and this would be a huge, huge benefit for making it more useful and informative at a glance.

Sincerely,
Notwist...SHADOW PRIEST!!!!

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but:

Pitbull -> All units -> Cast -> Enable

It seems pretty clear from the SS that it's not a spacer, it's a cast bar. It only appears blank for some units because they aren't casting at the time.

I now understand what you're trying to do, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to do it. Spent a while playing around, but the best I could do was get the portrait and bars in the right place, but the cast bar didn't extend under the portrait.

You might want to go ask on the Pitbull wowace thread:

Are you sure the screenshots aren't from people using Pitbull 3?

On that- is 4 good and stable now? I'm still using 3, have been holding off upgrading until I saw positive feedback.

@Notwist24

AFAIK, to do what that last screenshot has, you have to add a blank bar to your Unit Frame, and than go into cast bar and make it appear on the blank bar instead of castbar.

Let me know if that does not work.

@work now so cant get to WOW.

Pitbull 4 is pretty stable, and most of the new UI's uses that

pitbull 4 >>>>>> pitbull 3 in terms of ease of setup and configurations, layout rockz

normal cast bar

Hey guys, I hate looking at my portrait to see the cast progress. How do you stop pitbull 4 from disabling blizzard's cast bar?

Thanks

I am using Quartz for a cast bar I like it although it took me a while to move the thing.

FYI: When selecting items in quarts there is a LOCK check box you uncheck it move the cast bar or one of the other options and then lock it again. Try it unlocked in combat you may like it I did not.

I posted my issue with Pitbull on the guide for Pitbull 3.

Basically I want to see the party's targets on the right hand side of each person's unit frame (like XPearl Does)

Also, does anyone know how to make the buffs go from left to right for the whole length of the unit from right now it goes to the center of the frame and starts another row in raids so many buffs start covering up the frames below.

I would like to see debuffs to the right of the frame as well but do not see this yet either.

I'm not at home so i cant test this right now, but to get the cast bar down there...

..i THINK you can set a bar's location to be 'Unit Frame' and then you will then get the additional option of attaching it to a different part of the frame. One of these options should be Below or Bottom.

But like i said, i cant test this right now.
