I use UI scaling and for the most part I'm happy. However with the xpac coming up I plan to actually read all this new quest text and its a little hard on my eyes. Is there a way I can scale just the Quest log window, or preferably just increase the text size in the "story" section?

I've tried ClearFonts2 but is didn't seem to work well for me.

You might have to try something like Visor2 to scale the entire panel. Other than the fonts in chat, I don't think you can change any of the other font sizes in game unless you scale the entire panel.

I use questguru and am very satisfied with it. It displays a bigger questwindow with a 2 column layout. Left side contains Questtitles and right side has the quest description.

Yeah, I found QuestGuru as well when I was trying to find an update to UberQuest. UberQuest was really similar, just not maintained, and finally with 3.0 no longer updated. But I'm very happy with QuestGuru.

I use a combination of

LightHeaded : WoWInterface Downloads : Quest/Leveling/Reputation Mods
DoubleWide : WoWInterface Downloads : Quest/Leveling/Reputation Mods
and
tekticles : WoWInterface Downloads : Tekkub's Emporium of Random Crap to change the font to Calibri to make it 'clearer' (you can't change the size with this mod however).

A question though, are you running Wow at a UI scale? To check Press Escape > Video > Resolution and I believe there's a box which lets you decide your UI scale (Maintainence is up so I can't check for myself). If you've ever downloaded a pre-configured UI they often scale it down quite a lot to fit more on the screen, un-ticking the box or just setting the slider to 1 will cause everything to appear larger.
