AOE tank Nameplate threat mod

I'm finding myself losing threat to Arms warriors in trash aoe tanking situations

If I cycled through the mobs more slowly I could use omen to manage crowd aggro better.

I've tried using the nameplates but the basic functionality doesent help me that much. What I would love are color coded nameplates showing my threat relative to the next highest threat

ideal thought
Green nameplate - my threat exceeds theirs by 30%
Yellow nameplate my threat is close to theirs
Red nameplate - I am not the current target

Fantasy or reality?

that'd be damn cool actually.

I have a bar on my IceHUD that shows the relative threat of my current target, and it changes color... so I bet the code exists for that.. and well there are a number of nameplate mods.. i bet this could be done.

The game kind of already does that by default I think. The nameplate border flashes, and the in-game floating text puts messages like "Losing Threat", "Attacking You" and so on over the target's head. It would be nice to see their nameplate as a color though, maybe someone will come up with that.

I'd also have to say that this is also solved with L2Play. I play with people who are completely not used to /assist ing anymore, and just AE spam or whatever as standard practice. Aside from tabbing/clicking through the mobs and jabbing em with whatever you have while you TC/Shockwave away works most of the time, but I still prefer people to hit the right damn mob :P

I havn't used Aloft in a while, but it's possible it might have something for colour coding threat on a mob. Even if it doesn't, it sounds like something that is definitely possible.

reading here --> Aloft (Beta) : WoWInterface Downloads : Beta-version AddOns

it does some of that, or can be configured to show that info.

Ty warwench - checking it out now.

@Kolben - I know a bit more care on the part of the DPS might solve the problem but telling a DSP warrior not to use Sweeping Strikes or whirlwind....well I just cant look into those big dewy eyes of theirs and tell them that. Its like kicking a kitten!

Aloft does that, though with 6 or 7 nameplates on your screen it's not always easy to keep an eye on them all.

Omen is pretty much garbage at this point.

I'm using Forsaken Threat Meter - Addons - Curse and hoping it actually gets updated with some additional features in the future.

Aloft is something that I was kinda looking for before... but I can see it getting really messy very quickly.

i'm trying to wrap my head around aloft, does anyone know what the "threat flash" is signifying? I've just been using it solo and it just comes up blue all the time and i'm never getting a red aura, which is what i'm expecting when i have threat.

Aloft Remake

I am willing to put my money where my mouth to get an add-on like aloft but stripped down. I have yet to be able to get the threat to work on all the mobs attacking me (the threat glow doesn't work as far as I can tell). It only shows the threat bar for the one I have targeted. It is made more for the dps'ers as far as I can tell.

What I would want is a mod that would just deal with the threat level, mob name and a written health percentage. One that would show all the mobs around you with just one bar above their heads (Instead of a health bar and a threat bar) Maybe put their health as a numeric value to the right of the mob name. But have the mob bar colored as red (for full ag) and turn to yellow (as you lose it) And let the bar go or remain blue for mobs that aren't attacking you.

If anyone has the skill to make it, send me an email - there would be thousands of tanks that would love you forever and I would be willing to help financially for your time. I am sure WE couldn't be the only ones craveing this mod with the buff to all AoE classes and the way AoE is being used lots of trash now.

Yea, I've been using Aloft for a long time and I've never been able to make it do what the OP is asking for. I can make it show things like my threat values on every nameplate, but not a deficit of how much threat I have over the next highest person on nameplates.

I was just about to ask about this mod, I just want something that shows the relative agro percent Right next to the level or right above it.
