Has anyone found a solution for tabbing to mobs close to you as the cmd TargetNearestDistance is not working anymore (

Despite the fact I posted it, I fear it does not work.
I cant load wow atm but run that from the console and then attempt to tab target a mob standing a goodly distance away, if you target him the command didnt work it should restrict tab targeting to only the mobs within 5 yards of you.
Really would like a fix or a blue post saying we broke it on purpose.

Here is one I'm currently using for Devastate and it does what I want it to do, which is as soon as I hit Devastate it finds a close mob and...well...Devastates it!
#showtooltip
/console targetNearestDistance 5.000000
/startattack [harm,nodead]
/targetenemy [dead]
/targetenemy [noharm]
/cast Devastate

this was broken because rogues where using it as an exploit.... something to do with there sapping...
this would make life soo much easier

While im getting used to not having it, I still get annoyed when I target a mob 100km away ^^
So a rogue exploit destroyed it? Any words from the blue people on this command?
