Some UI Addon questions.

Greetings.

I'm Varagar, the GM and Raid Leader of a small family/friends guild. I'm also our Main Tank. I have some addon questions. Some for asthetics, some for actual useability when leading a raid. If you guys don't mind, I'd like to get some guidance. I currently only use Omen, so everyone can see their threat compared to mine. Thats it.

1) A cast bar mod where by I can see the spell being cast by the mob I am currently tanking. A simple example would be I walk up to Blindeye the Seer. I would like to see the heal spell cast progress without actually looking up at the UI frame in the upper left of my screen. Instead, I'd like the spells progress to be very visible right in the middle of my screen. This would allow me to be more alert and responsive when using my shield bash ability to interrupt casts and silence the target, as well as call out over vent any major spells that need attention. I think Deadly Boss Mods can accomplish this task, but I wanted to see if there were other options out there.

2) A mod that spams a particular channel (/say, /guild, /raid, /officer, or /#), or even just displays an event in my chat window when a form of crowd control is broken. As the Main Tank, I'd prefer 99% of the time it be myself or the off-tank that is breaking the crowd control so that we can properly pick up the mobs. However, sometimes as you know this doesn't happen. For example I often group with a mindless zombie of a Fury Warrior who absolutley loves his Whirlwind, and pushes his DPS numbers above anything else. I'd like to be able to have it spam him every time he does. Adding fuel to the fire and further harassing him into submission (to not use his abilities in dangerous situations).

3) Are there any addons out there that currently exist above and beyond the default UI that allows you to assign a "Main Tank", and a "Main Assist" role? So for example, all 10 of us are using the same mod suite, I can assign myself as the Boss or Adds tank, and viola my Avatar/Bars show up to everyone who is interested in that information (e.g. the healers).

4) Are there any addons not named Healbot that I can reccomend to my healers that allow for click-to-cast operation?

5) Finally, and most importantly, I was watching that AOE tanking video from Darksend, when he triggered his S&B via Dev or Rev, the sprite for S&B would flash on their screen indicating that the ability triggered, letting him know that he could receive a free Shield Slam. What addon was this?
Edit: Source: darksend
- Added GhostPulse, pulsing cooldown notifier for S&B procs, Shockwave, and Conc Blow

Thanks in advance.

1) Quartz probably does this: Quartz - Addons - Curse

Also, CastProgress if you're not in love with bars: CastProgress 2 : WoWInterface Downloads : Casting Bars and Cooldowns

2) BigBrother: BigBrother - Addons - Curse

3) oRA2: oRA2 - Addons - Curse

4) Clique: Clique : WoWInterface Downloads : Unit Mods

5) Mik's Scrolling Battle Text will announce on the triggers: MikScrollingBattleText : WoWInterface Downloads : Combat Mods

Or, if you're using Elkano's Buff Bars or Satrina Buff Frames, you can set up frames for those to show the buffs for them nice and large (my setup using SBF: http://evilempireguild.org/SBF/images/SBFExample.jpg)

Thanks Satrina.

1) Quartz is exactly what I needed. I'm still playing with it right now, but it definitely has me in the right direction. I was able to set up "player" and "target" casting bars that showed the spell casting duration of my targets spells. I think DBM should be able to handle everything else (cooldowns, periodic boss abilities).

2) Unfortunately there does not appear to be a 3.0.2 compatible version out yet. But that is the mod I was looking for, thank you.

3) oRA2 didn't seem to do anything when I installed it, likely will have to be in a raid situation to even get it functional.

4) Will have to wait on leveling up my Priest, but I do appreciate this. Does it interact with the default UI or xPerl at all?

5) I can't get GhostPulse to work, but will follow up with darksend on that. I'm not a fan of scrolling texts, because there often tends to be way too much of it. Thank you though. If all else fails I will take your advice and use your mod to make my triggered buffs REALLY BIG.

3) Yes you need to be in a raid to see any of the functionality of oRA2. This is to conserve addon memory usage when not in a raid.

4) Clique should be able to interact with any unit frame. I've used it with Pitbull, Grid, sRaid, default etc.

5) If you find there's too much stuff with your scrolling combat text, the addon should have some filters where you can filter out small amounts of damage/healing. I can't comment on Mik's, but I know Parrot will condense AE spells into into one line of text. Instead of seeing 4+ "Thunderclap XXX" scrolls on your screen, you'll just see one with all the damage added up in one large number.

With Mik's 'Thunderclap (4 hits, 2 crits)' would be the default format for that.
