retaliation macro

I wanted to make a macro for aoe tanking that popped me into battle stance, cast retaliation, and then back to defensive stance.

Code:
#show Retaliation
/cast [stance:1] Retaliation; Battle Stance
/cast [noequipped:shields] Battle Stance; Defensive Stance
But then I read on wowwiki that you won't retaliate unless you are in battlestance. Is this still true?

here's the link: Useful macros for warriors - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft

I've been retaliating and going to defensive stance and I seem to notice the charges depleting, hmm. Guess I'll need to test when I get home.
