Falkor's UI

This is a knock-off of Xav's UI and not 100% refined to my liking. I figured I'd post here and get some feedback. That feedback combined with refinement to this layout will bring updates to this post with the goal of producing a complete guide on how to set this up.

This has all been set up and tested in 3.0.2 and I have not gotten any errors.

1) Recount
A nice DPS meter that will get replaced with SWStats as soon as it works (or some other DPS Meter that syncs with others)

2) Fubar
A panel that modules can plug into.
--a) Duribility
Displays my current duribility
--b) Friends
Lists my friends that are online
--c) Guild
Lists Guildies that are online
--d) Channel Watch
Displays people that are in channels that I set up

3) Item Rack
An addon for making the changing of outfits easy (couldn't live without it).

4) Omen
Threat Meter, I still see uses for these.

5) Aloft
Nameplate customizer that really lets you customize your nameplates extensively.

6) Elk Buff Bars
This is a HIGHLY customizable Buff Bar addon. Every element you see here has been modified to fit my style of play.

7) Bartender 4
This is still my Action Bar mod of choice. It's simple yet highly customizable.

8) Prat
This is a really nice Chat customization tool. This tool does so many things you should just check it out if you want to make your chat better.

9) Pally Power
Cause Pally's have the Power

10) Squeenix
Simple Mini Map addon to allow you to customize the mini map.

11) PitBull
This is my new Unit Frames addon. The details are not really displayed well here as I'm not in a group or raid. One thing I like aside from it being updated regularly is that Visual Heal is built right in. On the down side, it takes a while to set up.

12) Tiny Tip
This addon is not depicted here, check it out. It's a nice way to customize your tooltips. I can put what info I want in the tooltip and can put that tooltip where I want and can customize the way that tool tip looks. Love it...

Raid Addons

Big Wigs
Deadly Boss Mods
oRA2
Raid Cooldowns

Supportive Addons

Raid Cooldowns Display

LibDogTag
Added for functionality in Pit Bull

LibDogTag Unit
Added for functionality in Pit Bull

LibRock
Added for functionality in Pit Bull and Aloft

LibRockEvent
Added for functionality in Pit Bull and Aloft

TinyTip Options

Posting an actual image of the UI might give us an idea of what it looks like, for feedback purposes and such.

Syncing in damage metres has been an irrelevant waste of code and bandwidth since the combat log revamp.

Ahh, the original link was to my forums (which you (or anyone else) are not registered). So, I put it in our Gallery since it's viewable by everyone. Let me know if there's still an issue.

What changes are you refering to? I know before when I was using SWStats I could get reliable information. With Recount I don't, it is different for each person posting.

The main reason for differences in recount are people will reset it without meaning to or someone will go afk for a couple of seconds, therefore missing the combat log of a group of trash mobs. This can easily result in large differences at the end of a run for overall data.

I wish I could support that, but I can't. In fact, the situation that I am referring to was done specifically to test reliability of the tool. There was me and two friends which specifically reset at the same time we were each Melee so we shouldn't have distance as a discrepancy and no one went AFK. In fact I have never seen the results from this tool be accurate for the data of others, the only value I see in the tool is personal evaluation.

That said, I wanted to make it clear these meters are for on the fly evaluation. Thurough raid evaluation has always been done with WWS reports where I do feel much more confident in the reliability of data.

In the past we've used SWStats to a much higher level of success. The source of this success had not been tested in any form, but was attributed to the syncing of the client to others with the addon. However when we post the results from SWStats I see much more consistency, not just with SWStats but the numbers we tend to get from SWStats also gel with our WWS reports.

I understand that the Combat Log has gone through some pretty major changes, some of these changes could have made it unnecessary to sync the client. Based on the comment Satrina had made I had assumed there was something specific she had seen to indicate such a thing.

Is there something I'm missing?
