Addons Folder Cleaning Question

Forgive my addon ignorance...

I'd like to start a-fresh with my addons.

If I wanted to clean out my C: programfiles/worldofwarcraft/interface/addons folder, are there ant sub-folders that must stay? Or can I just clear it out?

Or should I just live with the fact there's junk in there?

Thanks in advance for saving me from myself.

There are some Blizzard folders in there, but they will be replaced the next time you log in if you do delete them. An easy way to do this is to just rename your addons folder to old_addons or something similar, and then create a new addons folder. Then when you log you toon in, the game will replace the Blizzard folders inside of it. This will allow you to easily copy any of your old addons to the new folder for use if you desire while getting rid of all the stuff you do not want anymore.

just leave anything that says BlizzardUI_ in the front but like Nez said, it'll get autopatched back in for you.

I'm starting from scratch too so if I get my UI up and going the way I like it I might post up some screenshots and a list of files if you guys like it. (Take that Fame!)

...ps JK I <3 Fame, My UI will be a copy of his anyways =P

You might also want to go to your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/%account name%/SavedVariables/ and delete the mod-specific files there (or just move them to an archive location).

Thanks again everyone,

I got most of my addons working, but auctioneer is still a bit funny. Oh, well... that one is the least of my concerns :P

Korvid

p.s. I'd love to see your UI when you get it set up, Kazey. I'm currently using the blizz UI with a few addons, but I'm considering setting up something more fun.
