Looking for the right Add On

I’m not happy with my current Add Ons. When Tanking I’m constantly looking all over my screen to check my Cool Downs (Shield Slam most of all), my Debuffs (Thunder Clap and Demo Shout), my Heath and Rage Bar and my Targets Health Bar. It drives me crazy!

I want to find a set of Add Ons that keep this information at the center of my screen. Also, I’d like the information to be highly customizable. I’d like to use % Transparency to fade the data and Customizable colors and graphics to minimize the amount of time I have to spend looking at it.

Do you have any recommendations? I’d love to hear them.

Thanks,

Nekt

Milkscrollingbattletext and Parrot (maybe SCT, too) are having a notification-area in which they can show text messages if your shieldblock, shieldslam etc. are available.
you can drag these areas around the screen, whereever you like them to see.

I've moved my playerframe and the targetframe down near to my actionbars (using pitbull unitframes - but any other unitframemod works for this too, I think).

To see faster which of my debuffs are active on my target, I've configured elkano buff bars. I've made a new bar for debuffs, only with spell-symbol and timer and draged it near to the targetframe. I've done same thing for my shouts.

You need a HUD. I think Underhood may be a good choice for you as it seems to be very configurable. I personally use mHUD (I think :P) and there are lots of others out there too.

Get demon for debuffs. It was just pointed out to me recently and it's awesome.
As for when cds are ready you can use sct or parrot as mentioned before to see sb and ss and revenge but it won't show you devastate. I would recommend putting Quartz GCD on your screen where you normally look in addition to those and just get used to the timing.

Well, you don't need a HUD. And a HUD won't take care of everything.

Getting a custom UF so that your unit frames closer to the center works well. Custom cast bar (like Quartz, say) to get the casting bar closer to the center. Custom button bars, to get your most needed cooldowns close to the center. A debuff/buff monitor (possibly part of unit frames, possibly something else) to get that info close.

Basically, any addon that gets critical information closer to the center of your display is good. Key idea being critical information—the stuff you need to get your job done, and not the other stuff.

Send a message via MSN to Ukyo
you might wanna try this addon for cd's: JIM's Cooldown Pulse

Might be a little updated, but worked for me. And try Pitbull's UF, they're pretty good too.

i agree with all posts so far, all of the said addons are good, although im confused as to why you need an addon for shield slam cooldown, you don't have a tanking rotation or rhythm? i mean SS rev dev dev, repeat theres no need for cooldown announcement there. along with spaming shield block, pressing the button every 2 seconds wont hurt.

biggest suggestion though is get a action bar addon with on button cooldowns, and move your player/target frames down near your bars.
