less macros, more skill IMO. stance dance and the GAB/shield slam are all you need.
-on a side note, can a macro be created that would chain the GAB with the brewfest coin? i want to pop both trinkets @ the same time for HUGE slam numbers. i dont think it can be done since the GAB would trigger a gcd. so i think it may be best to have a macro for the gab/slam and another for the token/slam. any thoughts? | The coin and autoblocker don't trigger any cooldowns (expect their own, of course). You can combo them. I did it yesterday and got a 3.9k SS on live...it was hot.

/use [harm,nodead,equipped:Shields] 13
/stopcasting
/use [harm,nedead,equipped:Shields] 14
/stopcasting
/cast [equipped:Shields] Shield Slam
is this proper for triggering both trinkets?
the other thing i can think of is using one trinket for 2 slams, pop second trinket just before slam #3. this would give you 6 slams using trinkets, with for at maximum power. gab slam 1-4, coin 2-6. i am going to screw around with these tonight on some hyjal trash.

Currently in Live I use this macro for my charge, intercept, intervene (" All in one")....
/cast [help,stance:2]Intervene; [help,nostance:2]Defensive Stance; [combat,harm,nostance:3]Berserker Stance; [nocombat,nostance:1]Battle Stance; [combat,harm,stance:3]Intercept; [nocombat,stance:1]Charge
What I am wondering is with the new talent Warbringer making charge usable in def stance and in combat, what would the new macro look like?
I'm playing on the PTR and am loving prot in both pve and pvp. My question lies more to how to keep the macro viable in both pve and pvp.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Dreadlum

Thinking ahead to the Glyph of Revenge, I believe it would be useful to have a macro to queue up HS (which will be free on rev) every time revenge is up.
Would this just be a simple
/cast Revenge
/cast Heroic Strike
or is there something more complex and subtle that Im missing here.

Will require 2 key presses, as Revenge is on the GCD... but yeah your macro will work with the two presses (I've been using it on the PTR) you can however spam the two presses... cuz HS still doesnt require you to wait for Revenge's GCD to finish in order to que it up... at least thats how it seems to be working for me, Ive just been spamming the key twice real fast and then moving on to my free (hopefully) SS from S&B proc!
w00t - Ive gotta say... Ive never had so much fun on my warrior tank since Ive had him... (I run two tanking classes... both a Prot Warrior and a prot Pally... as my two raiding toons, with the pally having always been easier... - not any more lol)

1 key press, but since heroic is delayed it wont go off right away. | Just tested:
#showtooltip Revenge
/cast Revenge
/cast Heroic Strike
and 1 key press does indeed trigger revenge and queue up HS.
Thanks a ton.

the /use revenge /use heroic strike doesn't always queue the HS. It has to be available before the revenge goes off.
so my question is, is there a macro command to delay the HS queue?
for instance:
/use Revenge
/[delay command]
/use Heroic Strike

I have a question on how this macro would work: Code: #showtooltip Shield Slam
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/cast Shield Block
/use 13
/use 14
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast Shield Slam
/startattack If I do this one will Shield Block only be available when the trinkets are not on cool down? Or will I still be able to cast Shield Slam by pressing that button if they are still on cool down? Thanks.

| | | Charge and Taunt macro
I suck at macros, and refer to this site regularly to get help.
With the new talent to charge while in any stance, can someone help me to create a macro that lets me put charge and taunt together so I can spam it at anytime. Or will this conflict with each other, and taunt first? Any help would be great.
Also, with the new patch what is the best ablilities/macros to use to get a high burst of threat (excluding trinkets) and maintain that high amount of threat while tanking. Keeping in mind flexibility, I dont want to be a rock standing still why everything beats on me, I want to have freedom to move around and such.

taunt is off the gcd and now has 20 yard range, so if you use Xav's old macro of:
/cast charge
/cast taunt
they'll both fire at once... but once you're in combat, it works lol.

It's basically a priority list now:
1) Sword and Board Proc'd Shield Slams
2) Revenge
3) Shield Slams
4) devastate
Weave in Thunderclaps/shockwaves/cleaves for when aoe tanking.

Anyone have any new Macros for Protection Spec PvP? | I combined some of the macros already posted and made one that is a charge / trinket use / block / slam command all-in-one which seemed to work nicely yesterday.
/cast Charge
/startattack
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Shield Block
/cast Shield Slam
It appeared to work as I have been using it in PvP and PvE with very nice results on my initial slams on mobs/players. The only thing you need to remember is to have enough rage for your shield slam (I will bloodrage before using this if I don't and you might want to add '/cast Bloodrage' to this macro). It's especially nice when you are in a heated PvP fight and you want to charge a fleeing mage or clothie and you can get your trinkets/block/slam in at the same time with your charge.
As for getting a Shield Slam off with this macro, I realized I was having rage issues when I first tested it, but even if I couldn't shield slam right off the bat, it took literally a second or two before I had enough rage and so the delay isn't that bad.
The next macro (maybe a castsequence macro?) I'm thinking about making is one that will make me jump into Battle stance, pop retaliation, jump into Berserker stance, pop Recklessness, pop into Defense stance, pop Shield Wall, Last Stand and Shield Block for one of those "Oh Crap" Moments or "I shall not Yield the Flag" BG moments. That way I'm dishing out as much damage as I possibly can and taking the least amount of damage I possibly can.
