Are guild is just coming up to ulduar and I wanted to start researching it. Does anyone know a good link to go to or have a video or something on the whole instance as a whole?

I've watched the boss fights on here and they are very good. I am looking for something that tells about trash, which way to go, etc. I have never done it, but some of the guildies have.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Great site btw!

We need some help with Yogg (normal). For some reason, we can't seem to get past the second phase. We all know the general strat and have watched the videos numerous times. I think our biggest problem might be the lack of melee. We usually only run with one.

Tanks: Pally (me) & Warrior
Healers: Priest (or Druid sometimes) & Pally, Shammy on raid
DPS: DK, boomkin, SPriest, a couple mages, (sometimes 3 mages without the SPriest)

I highly doubt we're undergeared, as most of us are rolling with multiple ilvl 232 and a few 245s. I think it has to do with who we're sending into the brain rooms. Usually it's the DK, the boomkin and a mage, along with a healer. With what I have to work with, is there a better combination of peeps I can send in or are they just doing something wrong in there?

Also, everyone should be entering the same portals, right? Or does it matter which one they jump in?

Are my tanks ready for Algalon 10?

Hello everyone! I am a mage, playing on the rather small realm Scarshield Legion, EU.

I have a few questions regarding Algalon 10, and I am hoping to get some help from here!

a) I am gonna run with a protection paladin and a protection warrior, are they ready? Warrior armory (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Belakhost&gn=Unnatural), Paladin armory (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Shrewling&gn=Unnatural).

b) My DPS setup is at the moment the following:
Arms warrior (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Laerel)
Retribution paladin (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Chrisu)
Fire mage (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Saphone) (me)
Shadow priest (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Ettan)
Enhancement shaman (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Shambulance)

What kind of healers should I run? I got a holy priest confirmed, should I go with another priest but specced disc, a holydin, a resto shaman or a resto druid?

Lastly, how much DPS should you be able to pump out? I am pretty certain that everyone here can reach 6k without any bigger problems.

Thanks on beforehand,

Saphone (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Scarshield+Legion&cn=Saphone&gn=Unnatural)

Alone in the Darkness (10 man)

We actually tried this about a month ago when we managed to squeeze in a free 2 hours after our algalon kill, but we havn't been back since. However, seeing as it's the only thing we have left to do and we just know it won't get done when ICC hits then we're gonna go back and get it done on Sunday.

So, although we didn't get him down, we were still tweaking the way we dealt with p3 so I'm mostly looking for advice on whether we were heading in the right direction.

When we got into p3 it was pretty stable, people had enough sanity and it usually took us 2 brain phases (i guess this may go down to one now our gear has improved more). Our setup was as follows:

Prot Warr (Me): Tanking the adds just behind the boss.

Arms Warr: DPSing the boss, incidental whirlwinds on the adds.

Rogue: Wound poison FoKing the adds, single target on boss.

DK: Single targeting boss but maxing cleave/aoe on the adds.

Enhance shammy: On boss

Hunter: DPS boss, pulls out one beaconed add when it happens and the FDs it back to me. dpses a new add to make it small when it spawns

destro lock: on the boss all the time, sometimes helps with making adds small when they spawn.

mage: living bombs up on the adds, single targets the boss, brings down new adds to make them small.

resto shammy: healing

resto druid: healing

Generally it would start off well, we'd heroism as soon as everyone was in position to maximise the single target on the boss at the start (as minimal aoe is needed). The only real difficulty comes later on, for me it begins to get annoying with about 6/7 adds on me and any potential movement can get them to shift around to the side which is a danger. Also, sometimes an add or two would start to get a bit bigger through life drain and then the beacon would come - this would cause problems for the hunter targetting a beacon to pull it out because there's a big fat add in the way. Same problem if a new add spawns and gets to me at the same time as a beacon spawn. So:

- Have we got enough aoe on the adds to keep them under control? It seems stable unless we get a double beacon so I'm wondering if we can switch somebody like the mage to the boss.

- Are there any special ways of dealing with a fat add + beacon?

- What's the max number off adds you think he should be down in? i think at one point we had at least 10 and the boss was at ~10%.

- I'm tanking him close to the boss so i think the boss get ticks from the non-pulled beacon, is this alright seeing as we have an MS up on the boss?

- Anything else I may have overlooked.

Ulduar 10 questions.

So about a month ago my little guild entered Ulduar 10. We started off with only 6 people doing Flame Lev. After a few weeks we got some more interest and downed XT-002 and after some effort Razorscale.

Fast forward a bit, we now do Flame Lev 2 Towers (Leaving up Thorim, Mirimon) Razorscale (Have done him with as low as 8 people), XT-002, Kologarn, Cat Lady, Iron Council. Tonight was our first kills on Hodir, Thorim and Freya (Took about two wipes each to get the strat down).

We've yet to kill Ignis, and have yet to attempt Mirimon, General or Yogg. We can do VoA and Ony 10 Man, we haven't tried ToC. I am nearly positive we can do Ignis, we've just had bad luck concerning a bug which causes the stacks on the adds to go down (Hi to you, unholy desecration bug).

Our Normal Raid makeup is

Protection Paladin (Holy offspec)
Fury warrior (Protection offspec)
Unholy DK DPS (Tank offspec)
Frost Mage
2 Destro Locks
Resto Shaman

3 Random people, it varies, normally 1 DPS and 2 healers.

Given this makeup and the fact we're downing these encounters after a minimal number of tries, how well would you venture we'd do on Mirimon, General and Yogg, and should we be looking into ToC? I've only done up to Faction Champs, I am unsure how hard Twins and Anub are in comparison to what we've beaten.

Thanks for any advice

Ok, so i've been crunching some ulduar 10 hardmodes recently, finally received my proto drake since i've sat out many times to allow new members join and get their achieves, as well as take many new groups in my guild. So i have a few questions about algalon. I pretty much understand the fight mechanics and am curious if its easily beatable without a bloodlust. We downed firefighter tonight without a bloodlust and i think we only wiped 4 times or less, all being within the first or 2nd phases due to a few players not knowing the fight on hardmode.

I guess i will just link my 10 man members for this week and see if you guys think its doable.
