She has grown quite fond of the game and is really enjoying her first play through. Its actually been somewhat nostalgic because she is running into the same issues a lot of brand-new players do. It is very much trial and error, for her, and she is enjoying every minute of it.

I've found that i have to really work on not critiquing her playstyle and letting her figure things out for herself. I just have a hard time watching her die to a monster she is frustrated with, while she has Lay on Hands or some other ability that would essentially save her.

In any case, it has been very much another type of bonding experience for her and I, she talks to me about her characters and gets excited about certain things she has to look forward to. When i watch her walk in and roll through a group of monsters, like shes been playing for years, it brings a smile to my face. :D

I remember levelling and pretty much exploring every piece of most continants
doing numerous quests in places like redridge and being amazed at bumping into anyone lvl 60.

How much of TBC etc do people even see these days and does anyone even bother upgrading along the way.
Maybe its just the way i see things now looking down from the top.
but i sometimes feel like getting a great book and reading the first 5 pagews then skipping to the end.

When the embs of triumph drop in hc's i no doubt ulduar will become obselete an naxx will be like the tin of treacle in my nans cupboard.

For a donation of $1 you can vote on various design decisions (such as: top down view versus isometric. I think Isometric is winning, but the vote is still open) for $10 you can post on the design forums and add your own ideas to the project. 25% of donations and proceeds (of the final product) will go to the Fox Foundation (The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research) the company that is doing this HiveMedia (Home).

They already have several very skilled people working on the project including Aaron Rosenburg, who has worked on some of the Warcraft, Starcraft, and Dungeons & Dragons books. Andrew Lacky is a SFX artist who worked on Spore, Deadspace, and the Matrix series. Jonathan Coulton of Portal fame (yes, he did Still Alive) has licensed the use of his Re: Your Brains song.

I'm currently participating in No Shave November, is anyone else? Also: does anyone have any agreed upon rules? Is trimming okay? Can you shave your neck beard for social occasions? Or do you have to let your facial hair run wild and rampant? Even my guild has gone the route of the DK, Pally, or ever a bear, before a warrior. Now I have raided Ulduar 10. ToC 10-25, and I do know my class, but yet I get passed for a DK or a paladin. I have no issues with either class, heck I even have a DK and a paladin ( DK is DPS an pally is Heals/Prot). Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.
