Raid Leader Mistake #32

Posted 09-30-2008 at 09:01 AM by veneretio
Changing an established Loot system at the beginning of a raid.

Under no circumstances should you do this. We all know there is no perfect loot system, so for the love of jebuz... don't try to "find" it 5 minutes before your 1st pull.

#1: You'll get asked about it
#2: You'll have to answer
#3: You're no longer focusing on the raid
#4: You're pissing off everyone, not just loot whores no matter what your intentions are

There...

Never Kick someone from the Raid at the start

Posted 09-26-2008 at 09:19 AM by veneretio
I'm not talking about the person who has it coming. I'm not talking about Disrespectful Dan or Rude Regan or even Loopy Lore. I'm talking about that guy or gal you accidently clicked invite on. Joe or Jill that found there way into the raid when you forgot about Captain America or Batman because you thought they were already in the raid, but they actually weren't.

More to the point, a tank can gain an innate gut instinct for...

Anyone can be an Average Leader

Posted 09-16-2008 at 11:34 AM by veneretio
An Average leader can run an average raid and average things can happen when everything goes average.

A Good leader can run a good raid and good things can happen when everything goes good.

A Great leader can run a great raid and great things can happen when everything goes great.

But a True Leader can take a terrible situation and endure. An average situation and make it good. An okay situation and make it great. A great opportunity and make it amazing....

Leading Technique #2: Keeping the Right Attitude

Posted 08-06-2008 at 08:24 AM by veneretio
We all have highs and lows as Raid Leaders. It's no secret that our tone of voice (otherwise known as our mood) can greatly affect the tone or mood of our entire raid. Passionate, excited, encouraged, courageous raid leaders get results out of an empty glass. Raid Leaders coming off with the opposite attitude get noticeably worse results.

But, what happens when things really are going bad?

What about when I'm in a really bad mood?

Well that Sally is the hard...
