I'd far rather be happy than right any day
"I'd far rather be happy than right any day." Slartibartfast from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Whose strategies you use to kill a boss isn't important. The kill is important because it's what's going to make the raid happy. My adaption of this regarding being a raid leader and a leader in general for that matter is the following.
"A true leader would rather be victorious than glorious."
It's so funny though how I find in WoW (and life) that those that seek glory rarely get it and those that seek victory frequently do. (often when they don't want it or are quick to bestow it or deflect it towards others)
So for those of you that truly want respect and glorification in this game and in life I have one last quote.
"Do not seek respect. Seek that which will be respected."

Glory and Victory walk hand in hand, but are far from bedfellows. I'm typically not happy unless a Boss is downed, but I can most certainly enjoy myself even in the worst of PuGs. It's all subjective.
