Expectations

This week with a friend in town I won't be raiding. It's probably the first time since I joined the guild that I'll be missing an entire week of raiding. (well I may play the Monday if my friend leaves )

That being said, what should I expect as a raid leader?

When I left we were literally 2 or 3 tries away from a progression kill. We'd just 1 shotted our past progression kill for the first time and we were consistently farming a couple other bosses. There's a lot of killing capable of being accomplished.

I know that my fellow officers hope for 2 easy kills the first night and a little bit of struggle for the 2nd, but ultimately a kill nonetheless and they won't even try the progression and instead farm some old stuff.

So here's my thoughts:
1. A couple wipes on each farm kill just b/c they'll have a new (albeit it experienced) tank in place of me. Things are always run slightly different and with someone other than me explaining the fight it's natural that this will occur.
2. Our previous progression kill either won't happen or it'll take about 3 tries. Which I realize is kinda an ugly outlook on it, but the reality is that I've had high expectations for my past no shows and I've been let down.

So walking away with no real expectations, hoping secretly to be pleasantly surprised.
