Galactica NOT Pushed Back, Smith's Porno, & Merlin
Its always a surprise to me when I start off the day, thinking I'm going to have trouble filling a blog post...
Well I won't beat around the bush at all here to start with. The weekend's rampant news (and I call it "news" [rather than rumor] because it was stuff being said by people involved with the show at a major event) that Galactica would be getting pushed back to April/May invoked a response from SciFi:
So nothing to worry about then, I suppose.
Every once in a while I read some news that actually surprises me to some extent. Sony was so sure that Casino Royale would be a hit that they had the production team begin pre-production on its follow-up before the filming even began for the Bond reboot. I suppose that's why the new one is looking so good.

So I don't recall if I ever really went in to this next flick in much detail, beyond maybe posting the original teaser trailer (NSFW Language) which certainly turned some heads. Its called "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" and is the new movie from Kevin Smith. Below is the new poster, banned in the US for "content", that will be released internationally.

And here is the new full trailer just released as well, again, NSFW for Language.

Moving on... to something also equally NSFW for language, is the release of the red band trailer for another flick on the horizon... "Sex Drive". From what I've gathered, it feels like Superbad meets Road Trip, only leaning towards Superbad-funny and not Road Trip-stupid.
You can check out the trailer here.
Everyone's favorite summer blockbuster producer Jerry Bruckheimer has taken up a new project that I'll be sure to keep an eye on. It seems while Tom Cruise is bent on killing Hitler in his new flick, Bruckheimer is going after Rommel.
Could be good... as long as it isn't Pearl Harbor all over again.
Lastly is a potentially interesting new TV show coming to BBC in about a month and NBC mid-season, called Merlin. As you'd imagine, the show focuses on the life of the legendary Merlin, only at a younger age... before Arthur was king.
Give the trailer a look and if you like it, I like it, and it doesn't get canceled immediately... I'll be sure to keep more info flowing. On the plus side, its got Anthony Stewart Head of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame playing a lead role (Arthur's father).
See the trailer here.

"Killing Rommel" focuses on the British Long Range Desert Group and its attempt to stop Rommel, the legendary Desert Fox who routed the British in the North African desert in 1942 and threatened to overrun the Middle East thanks to his battlefield strategies and Panzer tanks. |
