Kind of a slow news day today. I'll probably lump some of today's stuff in a post tomorrow, assuming tomorrow looks any better...
But this I wanted to share right away. It appears Daniel Craig is sorry he missed Comic Con this year and has specifically set up meet and greet Q&A sessions with a select few of the major industry/fan news sites... and he wants them to be asking questions directly from the fans!
The Q&A will be with Daniel Craig (Bond) and Marc Forster...
Ever since Comic Con, buzz has been flying about like crazy over the new flick The Watchmen (trailer link) and I'd say it's well deserved buzz. The movie looks interesting, to say the least, and it'll be the first "Hard R" superhero movie we've gotten.
With that said... Watchmen is in a bit of legal trouble. I first wrote about this on a forum a few weeks back but its still pretty hot news. The issue here is fairly complex, but can be described quite simply... Warner Bros...
So back at the end of July I hit up Comic Con like I do every year. Was awesome, fun, amazing, etc, etc. Everything I expect Comic Con to be. Just putting this here as an excuse to also say my 2nd favorite convention is coming up and I'm going to that as well... BlizzCon.
Not much more to say than that. Probably the most interesting thing I've got going for me right now since I've been so busy with work. :P
And what have we missed? Sadly not too much. With the looming threat of actors taking to the picket line there really hasn't been as many projects taking off as there could be.
But for what we did miss, it was pretty significant.
Obviously there "The Dark Knight". It was impressive, bold, and amazing, but not without its own issues. Performances were both epic and mundane at the same time, notably from different people. You had the well deserving of the hype...
So July is here, for all purposes I care about, and we've got a strong line-up of movies to talk about.
Starting the month off is Hancock... the NC-17 to PG-13 rated flick that's torn so much from its story to achieve summer action/comedy status that if an Unrated cut were to ever be released you'd be in for a truly jaw dropping experience. Now I've ranted about what's been removed in the past (the underaged sex scene, boozing-up a kid, super hero splooge) and acknowledged the fact...
