Are you seriously kidding me?

So, the new guild merger of SK-Gaming and Nihilum has apparently finished all of the PvE gaming content. This doesn't surprise me, the people there probably know what they're doing me.
What surprises me, and not only that, but insults me even moreso is the fact that they have the nerve to criticize Blizzard about their content being too easy.

We are proud to declare that all WOTLK PVE raid content has now been cleared. This is both a moment of triumph and a cause for concern. The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer? Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?
Malygos down...
Hold up for a second.
A guild, merged from two guilds that have sponsors for them to play the game like it was their jobs, is complaining about how hard the stuff was when they blasted through it?
Do you complain if your job is too easy? No, you enjoy the day was good. Also, just because you're good at your job doesn't mean that the job itself is not hard.
What i'm trying to get here is the fact they're critiquing a game that they're paid to play and to beat and think that it's too easy after they do beat it. That not only reeks of elitism, but it's downright disgusting to think that people who believe that they are 'above' all and the best of the best have weight like they do. It sickens me to see this.
In no means do I consider myself a casual player. The fact that the game is tuned the way it is is a bit disheartening as even I must wonder how hard it will be at the end and if Blizzard has removed the challenge. But in no way am I like this guild in the fashion that I push to beat the content because I'm paid to get world firsts. The fact that they expect the game to be a challenge when they have probably one of the best core groups going that are being paid to do this is pretty damn stupid.
I had a huge rant when I found this out in the guild. It lead to heated debates which one of the officers said to drop it and bring it to either the forums or on vent. I didn't bother continuing my debate as my viewpoint on this is rather blunt and honest: I have little respect for people like this. They are at the bottom of the food chain in my opinion and the fact that they're reflected as 'professionals' when beating pixelated pictures is downright ludicrous.
And in no means am I some sort of manual labour that touts about how hard work gets paid less or whatever. No, I'm you're average nerd watching and weighing on the world events happening around me that usually has an opinion.
And my opinion on this is far from flattering.
So from me, personally, congratulations Sk-hilum. You cleared the content of the game, great for you. But don't presume that just because it was so easy for you that blizzard didn't do a good dungeon. Especially when you have a select group of people working for you to get the kills done.
And time to stop the rant.

| | LeBron James makes millions of dollars making a leather ball go through an iron ring. But when my home team Spurs smoked his ass of the 07 NBA championship, I don't recall Tim Duncan saying "Lebron is weaksauce, L2Pnoob" I'm kinda meh on professional gaming. I can watch a good football game and I can play golf. I can't really play football and I sure as hell can't watch golf, lol. But I agree that its silly to think thier opinion represents the playerbase, though to be fair, they may or may not be far from the truth. Still, if we all zerg Naxx and blow through it, then there may be a problem. It probably won't exist for me but it may for others. Look at it this way. You KNOW Blizzard listens to these people and uses them as guinea pigs for alot of thier content. They were all in beta. This is the way its going to be. This is how this content is tuned. Have fun with those farming runs and alts, fellas! I'm not saying its right or wrong but this is it. It is what it is. Well, seeing as how I'd like to get to 74 tonight, I don't have that pressure of striving for a world first to worry about (lol). I'm going to continue enjoying myself and getting ready for 10/25 man content starting soon. |

| | i think the bigger point for me is they roflstomped content they'd had MONTHS to train on, and then acted like it was some kind of accomplishment. 25loltards, if you want respect for doing something, roflstomp the content with ZERO knowledge of it. I'd be impressed if you went in with no knowledge of northrend, and no knowledge of the raids and did what you did. any 25 knuckleheads can practice in beta for 9 months and zerg the content on live. |

| | Also, Naxx was known content BEFORE beta. Sure, they had to scale it and make some changes but how much, really? Keep in mind as well, these people have a lot of input into how things are built. Look how much influence Tankspot had over class design on tanks. That said, thier opinion might not be completely valid but it might be substantially correct, even if coincidentally. You can pick a person off the steet and tell your friend "I bet that guy's is an idiot." He might be Forrest Gump, he might be an Ivy League grad....you've got a 50/50 shot at getting it right with alot of gray area in between. I mentioned this elsewhere, something to ponder is if these guys were right now cockblocked on Patchwerk, they'd be squealing like stuck pigs about how Blizzard is devouring thier soul. So.....thier assessment of the content, eh, maybe. Thier complaint, GTFO and get some sunshine. |

| | Interestingly enough, contrary to what I expected, the Elitist Jerks forums are pretty much "so? big deal, this is what its meant to be. STFU and stop crying" I was suprised and it illustrates how much of a minority the Nihl/SK crowd really is. So the playerbase has spoken. Its fine, L2P. I'm looking forward to not running into the soulcrushing cockblock that the original Magtheridon was. Oh sure, I could tank his ass just fine. A few people could heal me just fine. And some people could click cubes like no one's business but it still took us 6 weeks of wipes to get to 52% and drive me over the edge. |

| | I agree that the people in that group have forgotten exactly what WoW is....a game. Something to be done for recreational purposes in one's off time. I am sure a lot of people who play would be much better at it if they didn't have things like work to interfere with their playing time ![]() |

| | Frankly, I'm back on the fence here on the strength of reports that guild's are getting a partial group dinged and marching in and destroying raid bosses. If you have access to the donor forums, read Darksend's thread. His guild 21 manned Sartharion, no deaths. Hrm...I don't know how well equipped and organized his guild is, so....but still, that's a little bit off, I think. |

| | I can respect their accomplishment and am not terribly surprised by the speed in which they did it. I think you completely missed the point of their questions. They understand that them being the combination of the 2 most progressive guilds in the world that they would have zero trouble with it, but their worry is that if no one has any trouble with it... then how do they differentiate good from great, better from best? Like it or not, there is a driving force behind this game to be the best or to keep up with the best. If everyone can complete things at relatively the same rate with little effort, then the raiding game as we know it will largely dissipate. Challenge and Competition are necessary for the health of the game. Their concerns are valid. |

| | There are still all the heroic achievements to worry about. Not to mention, tuning the game around those who are willing and able to devote three days -straight- to playing the game is pretty ridiculous. Whether they ever go as far as sunwell again is a good question, but I'm pretty comfortable that they'll create content that keeps 95%+ of the raid guilds reasonably occupied. |

| | I'm pretty sure they announced that they cleared it on heroic. Until 3.1 there is no content for them. Guess its back to old PvP for them :P. |

| | There was already no content for them. When you've been farming something for nine months, that's what happens. You stomp it to the ground. As for people beating Sartharion, they're all doing it on the easiest setting: Just Sartharion. The real encounter is when you start leaving up 3 drakes when you start the fight. |
