The headaches of a Fury Warrior.

Is it just me or has my frustration gotten the best of me?

As it stands now, my tests on the infamous 51 point talent has been mediocre. Blizzard has decided in their wisdom to put level 80 dummies in the town instead of the 70s, which is, in my opinion, absolutely retarded on their end. How do you want us to test on the PTR if you won't, you know, allow us to even test.

Added to the fact that I transferred my warrior over a second time with gems this time to socket in my gear to boost my hit rating up higher, but still am sitting in the pending queue, is aggravating me even more. It's just frustrating when I'm stuck at a part where I have to sit down and wait to test anything.

Look, I've been optimist to this point. They certainly can't be doing something this bad without you know, some reasoning right? Well, I tried to figure this out rationally myself.

In my plate gear that currently stands, I can put 11 gem slots. With the 10 hit rating epic gems, that's 110 hit. I have 135 Hit with both weapons that I have (Bloodmoon and Despair). Another 3% at 15.77 per hit puts me around 32, which means I have about 260ish hit. ...to calculate, for those who are lazy, you need 332 hit to stop missing with your yellow attacks.

So not only is it impossible for me to do it EVEN if I gemmed fully hit, but I would destroy my ap and crit with this change and I am sitting here wondering if it's worth it. People need to realize something fundamental with the warrior class

We are not rogues. Rogues account for about 60% of their damage through white hits. This is primarily because their rotation requires them to hit Sinister strike, and rupture as a finisher, with Slice and Dice always up. As such, Sinister Strike is really their only yellow damage as you can't miss with Rupture (If you do miss, you still have your CPs to use another time. You just lose part of the energy cost). Furthermore, SS is removed from the miss chart with their 41 combat talent point.

Warriors don't get a talent which allows them NOT to miss with WW, BT and other things. Warriors also use far many more yellow attacks than rogues do. Therefore adding hit penalties to ALL damage dealing abilities is a harsh nerf.

I had this discussion with someone on tankspot's chatbox about this as well, and they were saying that maybe they want to put hit more like rogues. This is fundamentally flawed yet again, for the above reasons. We are not rogues, nor do we work under rogue mechanic. We have more yellow attacks that we use that makes a significant portion of our damage. You would have to literally remove a yellow damage ability, even two, to really streamline us like rogues and devalue the damage which the yellow attacks do.

And that just wouldn't be right. You would lose the reasons behind playing a warrior. If I wanted to play like a rogue, I would play a rogue. And if that's the concept that blizzard is going by adding more focus on hit, then it's pretty much the proof needed to see that they don't understand why people play Fury warriors and are failing at their job by properly representing the warrior community.

Don't get me wrong. I've told Cider that i'm happy that the Prot tree is getting so much attention. I'm happy that viability for them has been boosted and the spec looks a hell of a lot of fun to play with. But throw a bone when a bone's needed, Blizzard! There's more than just one spec and we've been forgotten.

Look at the patch notes just to show you that. Two fixes. One in arms, and one in fury. So much for 'tons of changes for all classes!', right?

Frustration takes it's place even in the best of us, and I'm frustrated enough to let it show now. Let's see what will happen.

You're not the only one. I'm starting to regret posting that gear list for TG because I'm worried it'll be taken as saying TG is fine and nothing needs to change. It really frustrates me that lots of knowledgeable warriors on the beta forums post intelligent and fair suggestions to fix our trees and they are completely ignored, only to have Blizz get pissy when we understandably get frustrated at the lack of feedback.

Arrivan - there is absolutely nothing wrong with your list...it actually highlights that unless we use the EXACT gear you showed us, we will be ineffective comparatively. I know the whole line about min/maxing...but if every raiding fury warrior has to wear the exact same gear/chant/gems, then wtf is the point?

There is a little bit of flexibility in the gear but nowhere near enough to be considered acceptable in my opinion. I haven't made the blue/heroic epic list yet but I have a week off so I'll get working on it. I have a feeling it'll be a damning condemnation of Titan's Grip in its current form (although I hardly think it needs any more condemnation).

I swear Blizzard is forcing us to tank now. =( Just tried Arms w/ Bladestormm it's nice but not too used to being in Arms besides trying to grind out for PvP

I swear Blizzard is forcing us to tank or something. =( I've tried Arms for Bladestorm. It's nice, but Raiding/PvE wise, it'd be risky with getting additional adds using it. Now throwing in TG into the Fury branch, it's more deciding on what to do. It's too confusing on what to what to put into talents now.
