What to vendor?

So things have been going pretty well for our Little League game these days. We're dropping a boss a week. It helps that we set our sights medium rare as opposed to soaring in the clouds - but I like my steak medium rare, darnit.
Lurker is on farm, Hydross is on farm, and we finally worked on Mag two days in a row and have him dead too. Our progression plan is to head through SSC and TK as much as possible with the T4 raids only when we are missing one of the various resist tanks needed to kill Hydross or Leo; so Tidewalker, FLK, A'Lar, Void Reaver etc. with Vashj and Kael'thas coming much later.
Last night I got stupid lucky and both the [item]Scarab of Displacement[/item] and the [item]Mallet of the Tides[/item] dropped for me. And I rejoiced in part because I thought to myself "finally I can vendor something!"
But can I?
[item]King's Defender[/item] has the best EH and still has Mongoose - i put exe on the Mallet. [item]Mallet of the Tides[/item] is the best for threat. [item]The Sun Eater[/item] is the best for avoidance. I suppose the EH lead on the KD is marginal, but you can't discount Mongoose, and even a small amount of EH is just not something I like to give up! So now what?! Keep all three?
Same with the Scarab - I was sure I'd feel as though I could vendor the [item]Moroes' Lucky Pocket Watch[/item] - but I'm starting to think that the Pocket Watch would be better in a long fight as the cooldown is shorter; and it's avoidance is more effective as it's all dodge. So? Dare I vendor the Pocket Watch? Heck, they're both trinkets - technically in a crazy avoidance fight I could equip both?! Plus I still have the 30 def and 32 def trinkets in bag, plus the block trinket for area of effect farming. And that's just the avoidance trinkets, and ignores the stamina trinkets, dps trinkets and threat trinkets!
Don't get me started on Chests - because this one drags professions in to the mix. I did armor smithing for the [item]Bulwark of Kings[/item] and it served me well. When I got the [item]Vengeful Gladiator's Plate Chestpiece[/item] I gemmed the Bulwark for DPS though, and now it's got more AP and crit on it than the S3 chest which I gemmed and enchanted for stamina. And lord knows I can't vendor my [item]Panzar'thar Breastplate[/item] until I have some other avoidance chest to equip when needed. But man if I could vendor the bulwark I could drop armor smithing and get a prof that makes money again! To get the rocket launcher and the Tankatronic I picked up engineering, so money making is not easy for me right now. But the upgraded armorsmith chest is soooo nice... and now we're getting nether vortices so it's even in reach?!
Luckily the T4 hat has not dropped nor the T5 hat, and there is no great badge hat and we don't do ZA enough to worry about the ZA hat so I only have a DPS hat and a tanking hat.
I've just got too darned much gear... now what? Don't even get me started on the new badge gear - I'll end up carrying around Wrynn Dynasty, T4 pants, Unwavering and the new ones because they all fit some niche or another plus getting the Stoic Guardian on top of the S4, smith chest, and Panzar'thar. What's a tank to do? I'm drowning in epics....

| | Step 1: Make an alt. Step 2: Send a bunch of gold to said alt. Step 3: Buy a Guild Charter. Step 4: Get 9 other people to sign your charter. Step 5: Buy a guild bank page. Now you have a "guild sized" bank alt to handle everything you want to keep a hold of that isn't soulbound. See? Yo don't have to vendor anything. :P |

| | I would never vendor anything...especially something like the pocket watch...you just never know when you might want it next. |

| | It's sad how much loot anyone that tanks anything more than the occasional Kara badge run has to carry around. I have two and a half bags devoted to gear, most of that being tank stuff (and I'm fury spec!) |

| | I think we all feel your pain. The bank or a bank alt solves the non-soulbound stuff, but so much of it is soulbound. At last count I had 11 trinkets - each and every one of them useful I never know whether to laugh or cry when I get loot nowadays ![]() |

| | I think I have a bag full of trinkets alone. Oh and not to mention my Farmer's broom with fiery enchant, my pitchfork with unholy enchant and my kobold shovel with icy enchant...these are stickly pvp weapons tho. But yeah...I think I'm up to about 6 or 7 bags with tank/resist gear and I'm primarily 33/28 spec. |
