TankSpot - Progression

"How can you be a protection warrior at level one?" I hear you all asking. It's a matter of heart. Of drive. Of the mentality of a protection warrior.

Leveling from 1-70 while protection specced was a pain, but it allowed me to practice my tanking skills on the way to 70. I tanked everything from VC to Gnomer to BRD, on up through all of the Burning Crusade instances as I leveled through them. And now I find myself the warrior tank in my small guild of friends who is the best geared, and is one of the go-to guys when we do our ZA attempts.

Being prot at heart has its advantages.

So, I apparently got better. But not enough.

This number, as well as my previous "Sixty-Seven", was, in fact, the number of times I was crushed. Grats to Turkson for guessing correctly.

Admittedly, some of this week'd crushes come from my attempts at using a macro to hit Shield Block whenever I hit Shield Slam. This didn't work out so well... it felt like there was a delay, for some reason, and that was just bad. But that was also only one attempt on Dragonhawk....

Yep, we got to see him. And we got him to 12% on our third try. Our fourth try was worse than that, but we got to see him, and we got four solid attempts in on him. It was awesome - especially considering that nobody was really prepared for the fight. We had a good 10 minutes of discussion on strategy before our first attempt. At the end of the night, Garthin, one of our many pallies, and the trash tank for the night determined that he should probably bring his druid...

All-Guild Gruul's Lair

Yes, that's right. We had 25 guildies running Gruul's. Well, at one point. We started off with 22, then three more joined, and then one dropped. I didn't know we had so many 70's. I mean, I guess I did, but I didn't think about it too much. We only had 14 signed up, and we somehow found 11 more. It was really awesome to see.

We didn't do so well, though. We got HKM down in five attempts, and we didn't get Gruul. A lot of people on the run hadn't been on the previous one (hey - that...

Gruul's Lair

MRS is supposed to be going into Gruul's for the second time tonight. However, there are only 14 people signed up, and PuGging 11 probably isn't a good idea. I think we're going to see who's on, and who's interested, and then we'll go from there.

On one hand, there's a big chance we won't be going into Gruul's. I really enjoyed tanking HKM and Gruul, and I'd like to do

Murmur Down
